ACC Basketball

You been watching the doc on the ACCN? I've caught the first 4 episodes. Pretty good stuff

I've caught a couple of them. I want to be able to sit down and watch the entire doc though. Probably not until after the season.

I haven't yet. But this last documentary I posted is pretty good. Just a little grainy but well worth the insight.

i refuse to watch it

Lmao at NCSU. Holy shit. They've packed it in.

Has NCSU ever finished last in the league? My guess would probably be yes, but I can't ever recall it during my lifetime. They've been a solid program the last 25 years or so.

You'd probably like it. They spend quite a bit of time talking about Wake considering how good they were in the early days of the ACC

NCSU sucked in the early 90s when they were hit hard by the NCAA after the Valvano years

Looking it up: They finished in last place in 1964, 1967, 1993, 1994, 1996 and 2008

Yeah that makes sense then. I remember the early Sendek years of NIT teams before they made the tournament in like 4/5 straight seasons. Knew they were good in the 70's and 80's. 2008 must have been Lowe. So only once in the last 25 seasons. Keatts might be gone after this season.

their best run as a program actually came in the 40s, 50s and early to mid 60s

the entire post-season format that college basketball has came from Everett Case and NC State. also, NCAAT doesn't expand without the NC State/Maryland ACCT final in 1974.

Yeah watching the tournament doc on the ACC, it was crazy to think it used to be, you're done if you don't win the league tournament. So many good teams missed out on the tournament.

Don’t let Clemson get hot!

Miami/VT have played 2 crazy ass games this year. Lol. Miami with a couple road games at BC and Cuse left. Would be interesting if they can only manage a split there.

Everett Case was The Godfather of the ACC. The ACCT would not exist if it weren't for him. He is also a member of the Indiana Basketball Hall Of Fame, where he started coaching high school for 23 years and having a record of 726-25. He never played the game, but he was a huge contributor to modern basketball. And the name of the most outstanding TOURNAMENT Player is awarded the Everett Case Trophy.

Dallas Walton shoved his entire nutsack in Louisville's mouth tonight

i miss the ACC only having nine teams

I know for real. The additions of all the Big East schools has sucked. Early 2000's ACC was just incredible b

as a kid, i was happy with the additions b/c i would always go to the ACCT when it was in Greensboro

which meant the ACCT went from being only one game on Thursdays (usually Clemson vs Florida State) to four games. I was so pumped for that b/c i didn't care about the quality of basketball, i just wanted to watch basketball

as an adult, I HATE IT

It hasnt worked for the ACC as a league or the schools.

Leaving the big east has been brutal for all the teams. Luckily Uconn could come back.
