Fat Bear Monday

We've actually got two apple things.

My kid uses this one to cut apples for herself.

This thing only gets used when I'm making applesauce or baking a cake.

I have never used that 2nd one. I'm good with a hand peeler. I wouldn't want to store that fucker for the 1 time a year I might use it.

Like I said, I thought the second one was a little silly, until I started making a shit ton of apple sauce. Makes quick work for 20 pounds of apples.

On saturday I played flag football for the first time since college. Holy shit am I sore. Most of that group is still in their 20s, too

Cute af girl who's friends with that group was doing yoga on the sidelines the whole game. Everyone went back to one friend's apartment after for pizza and drinks into the night. I ended up talking to her for hours. Asked her to dinner with me this weekend, she's out of town but said let's do the next week. We shall seeee

It's week 3 and Eagles still suck

My mom texted me to tell me about the South Park pandemic special wednesday at 8. I've been dying for them to make a Covid episode, and now apparently even my 67 y/o mom is pumped for that shit.

I was saying all summer that I can't wait for South Park to do a Covid episode. Now we get a 60 minute special.

Oh and you best brush up on your yoga lingo.

Old coworker of mine (now) husband bought way too many gadgets. When she moved in she made him get rid of a lot of them, He even had a breakfast station, something akin to this. Also, hot dog roller is a great idea

My wife and I have went to all cast iron for cooking except soups/stews. Crockpot those. The one pictured isn't mine but I have one about the same size. My breakfast station while camping.

I like cast iron. I want to get some carbon steel pans too

we have a spiralizer, I haven't used, but am thinking I can make some curly fries with it

I haven't looked into it a lot, but what's the advantage of carbon steel to cast?

Gonna have leftover potato chip crusted chicken sandwiches for lunch

They're very similar. Carbon steel is lighter, more durable, will cook a bit more evenly, heats up faster, adjust to different cooking temps faster

cast iron holds heat longer. Cast Iron will probably get a little hotter and I think sears better (I could be wrong)

with mayonaise

No condiments.

I have started experimenting with adding shit to food. Seems dum AF.

Put bacon in my chicken sandwich last week. It brings down the flavor of both the chicken and the bacon. Makes no sense.

It sounds like the cast should cook more evenly if it holds heat longer.

Otherwise, makes sense to me. Carbon basically replaces your everyday non-stick

As long as @SlinkyRedfoot doesn't put them in the dishwasher

Motherfuckers up in here talking bout pots and pans.

WTF

Feel like I'm at a fucking Pampered Chef party.
