ACC Looks To Be Going To The Pod System In 2023

Type "it's a pod" and we let you live.
Oh geez... what do I do...

I did say...

"There are no pods. Only annual match ups. As listed inside the spoiler, those would essentially be the individual "pods" if you wanted to look at them like that."

FWIW, the nomenclature that has been used is that a "pod" is where there are 3 or 4 teams and they play each other in a round-robin format within the pod. The defining characteristic of the pod is that the 4 teams round robin one another. Where each team has 2 or 3 permanent rivals, I've seen that described as "permanent rivals." As used in this thread "annual matchups" was used. The distinguishing characteristic of this method is that there isn't a round-robin ... each team has a distinct group of 2 or 3.

Honestly, if you go with the pod methodology, calling them "divisions" would make just as much sense. The SEC could have a south, north, west and central. This would actually align more with pro sports.
i heard no one from the south would want to be in a group called north

SAY IT!!!!!

You need to watch yourself buddy because you are entering into dangerous waters.

That reminds me we could do:

Pulled
Chopped
Sliced
Whole Hog
go original Big Ten style
Leaders, Legends, Icons and Phenoms

depends on which group of teams we are talking about
I don’t think anyone has suggested the PAC merge with the SEC. You can file that dream away as never going to happen.

Do you use the pronouns "they" and "them"?
That doesn't make sense. Pronouns are used by other people for how they would otherwise refer about you TO other people.

Anyone can use whatever fucking pronouns they want about whoever they are describing, because they cannot compel others to use certain speech, let alone certain speech for when they are not even talking to you.

speaking of the ACC, they are fucked. They had a meeting with ESPN and they are not going to increase payments to the conference at this time. The ACC commish pretty much said, they have to continue to do well with less lol

How will Duke, UNC, UVA, Clemson, FSU, etc be ok with this for the next 13 years??

Will they be any worse off than the PAC and the Big 12?

yes because they have branded universities that will be making the same as Big12 schools that got left behind. It's also the reason why SC said everything is on the table because no way are they going to continue to eat dirt when it comes to revenue.

I don't think UNC will be like, well at least we are doing better than Arizona St.. and about the same as Oklahoma st.

Everything I have read says 2 tiers - SEC and B1G at about 110-120 million per teams, the other 3 conferences at around $55 million per team. I have not seen anything that says the ACC will be worse than the B12 and PAC.

No matter how much they hate it, they can't do anything until 2036 gets closer because of the GOR. That's a long time.

One of my best friends is a bug UNC donor, and it comes up all the time in the big meetings. They simply don't know what to do. They realize they are going to get left behind in football.
