GAME #1 OREGON DUCKS vs uw fuskies 7:30pm ET on NBC

Kudos to Oregon! Going Undefeated in the Regular Season is so hard. There is a reason only one team could do it this year. The Ducks may or may not win the B1G or the CFP, but they have had a helluva year.

Did you see their schedule?

Not impressed.

I did. I do not care how easy, middling or tough a schedule is, it is very, very hard to go Undefeated in the Regular Season for any team. I am not a Duck fan at all, but it is hard to do what they did this year. Trying to keep a team focussed each and every week, especially in this day and age is tough, tough, tough. The pressure starts to mount. For example, Nick Saban won 6 National Championships @ Alabama, but 4 of the teams did not make it through the Regular Season Undefeated (2011, 2012, 2015 and 2017). It's hard man! Kudos to the Ducks. I hope they lose the B1G CCG and / or in the CFP, but I respect that they are the only FBS team to finish the Regular Season Undefeated in 2024.

Going to win it all bud.

Settle down pup. This isn't like going 12-0 in a Cracker Jack PAC 12. This is B1G time.
You're right. Beating the Ducks twice last year was ho hum.

Weird flex lol

When you're feeling down, hold on to a loved one as tight as UW fans hold on to a few fluke wins over Oregon.

I'm glad we got to introduce "the dawgs" to their new reality last night.

lol, this is always how ducks respond. YOU bring up this run vs last years and then accuse us of holding onto it.

Huskies beat 4 ranked teams last year, one twice on the way to the only 14-0 run in Pac history, but you claim this years Duck run was better facing only 2 ranked teams with the only legit one just getting embarrassed at home vs a terrible Michigan team. It was a total reach and you got called out on it.

The overall landscape of college football is down to some degree so of course the Ducks have as much chance as anyone else of winning 4 more, but the road to get there was about as favorable as you could have asked for.

I was talking about Oregon's previous 12-0 season in the PAC. UW fan arrogance led them to think we're talking about them. LOL

When someone says that "college football is down", you can almost always guarantee that's coming from someone whose team sucks. Without fail. This year Michigan and Washington fans lead that charge.

You saw top flight football all over the place this year? I didn't. Weird that you would think a fan only says that when their team is down. You would assume the opposite. My team can only be down because the other teams are playing so much better. Your claim doesn't even make sense. Like at all. lol

Where are all of the killer no loss teams at? The deadly 1 loss teams? It's a down year. That's a good thing for Oregon. Why not embrace it?

You have some strange arguments.

No dominant teams doesn't mean college football is down. The NFL has a lot of parity and it's a much higher level of football. It's just going to take fans a while to get used to the super conference era. Losses in the regular season are going to be normalized.

Who loses in the regular season? :pound:

It's due to the NIL and portal situation where teams no longer have top flight kids in waiting. The depth is getting eroded while the second tier teams do get some benefit of being able to pay a few of those kids that would be on top team benches to give them an option to play now.

That means the teams that had that solid next man up for injuries power is in decline.

And kids jumping teams year after year gives less time working within a system to master it. It's just not quite as polished.

The ducks are for sure going to be at the top of this current system because they have a massive donor willing to spend whatever it takes to get the talent.
