Wouldn't be surprised if the AP was similar. There's still too much credit for last year baked into the polls this early. It's a flawed system and yet every year it all sorts out by the time the selection committee does their thing. All other rankings don't really matter anyway.

That's pretty silly though. It doesn't matter, but it's stupid.
 
OK, I was wrong about the AP. They have UW at 18 and MSU knocked out of the top 25, first on the list of also receiving votes.

So a bit more sane?

Figured they might get it right. The coaches (or whoever is voting for them) probably just saw the score which ended up not being too bad. They didn't look into it enough to see it was 3 quarters of complete domination.

Doesn't matter really how you got to that final score. Beating a ranked team by 2 scores when favored by 3pts shouldn't leave you below that team you beat. You did more than enough to prove you were better that day. Neither team has any other games to point to where you can say yeah, but it was just a down week because (some other stupid argument).

Even if you only looked at the score, it's still dumb to put the team that just lost by 11 over the team that beat them when all other considerations on the year so far was a wash.

For sure. Was just further highlighting what a joke the coaches' poll is. Don't even know why they still do it at this point.
