GAME #15 Washington (4-0) @ UCLA (4-0) 10:30 pm (ET) ESPN

Auburn has a great football season randomly every 7 years or so. Otherwise they are mediocre to bad.
But again, they have NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS.

I don't think you are grasping it.

1. Alabama
2. Clemson
3. Georgia
4. Ohio State
5. Oklahoma
6. USC
7. Miami
8. LSU
9. Florida
10. Auburn
Oh, if we’re talking about teams that are actually consistently good AND have won championships in the last 20 years… that’s a different story. But what about Oregon?… and app state and Boise state?

That is a pretty good list but Florida and LSU should be a lot higher. Both have won a lot more Championships than the teams above them. I would list the following:

1. Alabama
2. Ohio State
3. Clemson
4. LSU
5. Florida
6. Oklahoma
7. USC
8. Georgia
9. Auburn
10. Texas

Miami was really only good from 2000-2005. Texas had a good run from 2000-2009.
I didn't put mine in any order. Just remembered teams that have a NC since 2000.

Since making the top 10 means you need to have won a national championship within that time period, I would put Florida State over Auburn.

Oregon 2001 should've gone to the NC.

Oregon would've won the national title in 2007 if Dixon doesn't get hurt.

Oregon goes to NC game in 2010.

Oregon goes to NC in 2014.

4 national title game appearances should be on the Ducks history wall in the span of 21 years.

Tennessee should have gone to title in 2001. Tennessee should have beaten Auburn and played USC in 2004, Tennessee should have beaten LSU and won SEC in 2007, Tennessee shouldn't have chocked in 2016 and won SEC East, Tennessee lost 4 games by less than 5 points on last minute plays in 2015 and could have been in playoffs. Tennessee should have won tie breaker in 2003 and played for SEC Championship in Atlanta.

See, anyone could play this game.

No, not to that extent. Oregon really should have gone to play Miami in 2001 and I dont think many other than Nebraska fans would argue that. There was actual fact based reasons why Oregon should have gone in 2001. It was also obvious that before his ACL went out, No one was stopping Dixon and Oregon that year.

Hey, Auburn actually has a title! Ironically, it was against Oregon.

Cue “he was down!!!”

@OregonDucks

Here is the thing, no one is arguing that Oregon is a good program but to say you are ahead of USC is just laughable. I am sorry.

USC was in contention for the National Title from 2003-2008.

Oregon had only a couple of years (2010 being one) that I truly felt you were in contention. Oregon could have gone in 2001 and got spanked by Miami just like Nebraska was. 2001 Tennessee would have been the best game for Miami and even that team would likely have lost (look at the players Tennessee put into the NFL that year including Jason Witten, Albert Haynesworth, Kevin Burnett, Travis Henry, Travis Stephens, Donte Stallworth, Kelly Washington, Will Overstreet, Dustin Colquit, Andre Lott, Fred Weary, etc.).

2001 Tennessee was talent wise (not team-wise) the best Tennessee team that I saw in my life time. 1998 was an overall better team but I felt like there was more talent on the 2001 team.

Are we counting USC's cheating years or not? Do all those years get *'s?

Even so, besides that span from 01-08 they have done diddly squat in the conference and on a national level.

This is rich. Oregon has been the most consistent winning team in the PAC-12 since 2000.
And that’s got you where? Everyone on a college football forum laughing at you for calling them too 10 in the last 22 years…

What about Oregon’s cheating years? Why’d Chip leave again?

Oregon's span is 2000-2022. Maybe not a title win, but they've been to two, easily could've gone to two more. And since Chip's arrival Oregon is consistently the PAC-12's national spotlight team to carry the conference.
