eh, it doesn't appear to be as white and black as that. Apparently, ESPN told Nichols that she would be working the Finals pregame show, but then George Floyd happened so they replaced her with Maria Taylor. Nichols has been covering the NBA for years, while Taylor has only been doing it since 2019. Nichols is annoying, but her frustration is justified.

and now, a former ESPN employee is claiming that Woj would intentionally torpedo the careers of his black colleagues, LOL. ESPN is toxic.

Nobody cares about female court-side reporters. I'd rather watch the game than focus on a couple of ditzy women.

And again CP3 was celebrating after finally getting to the Finals after 16 seasons. He's not the only NBAer that's had that kinda reaction after winning a conference final.

Or do you disagree that a team would have some issues to deal with missing starters? Not just about a teams best player out. That was my point. Perhaps I phrased it wrong.

There is an asterisk on the season, but not for the championship. The asterisk would just note that it was a season played under unusual circumstances (shortened off-season, 72 games, truncated playoff schedule). Same thing would apply to last year in the bubble and strike shortened seasons. The unusually high numbers of injuries to star players would be part of that.

But as for diminishing the title, not really. I could only see that being used to slap down the occasional Suns or Bucks fan if they get too uppity.
 
CP3 is annoying, but as a Wake fan and Winston-Salem native i have to pull for him
