Big 8, SWC, Big Ten, SEC, Pac didn't have conference tournaments until the late 70s. Big East wasn't born until 1979.

I think the B1G's first one was in 99. Not sure about the others but I think they were the last to have one, outta the power leagues.

Big Ten and Pac-10 had their first respective conference tournaments in 1998, 20ish years after everyone else had adopted it. 45 years after the first ACC tournament

Indiana still hasn't won a Big Ten tournament. Worst Blue Blood Ever.

PAC 10 held their first tournament in 1987.

After the 1990 season, the PAC went back to giving the regular season champion the bid and didn't hold another PAC 10 tournament until 2002.

SEC went from 1933-1952 but then didn't hold another conference tournament until 1979

I was curious so I looked it up, but Indiana has only been to one Big 10 tournament final and only 4 semifinals. Fuck without looking I think the Gophers have done that good.

yeah, i didn't count that because cbb was in its infant stage back then and a lot of conference champions didn't even participate in the NCAAT

But the women have had six. Three for Baylor and one each for Texas, Texas Tech and Texas A&M.
