Yes. 2 straight years where teams dominate the regular season and then are knocked out by shit teams they are better than because the shit teams got to keep playing and stay in rhythm while the good team had to sit at home.

I can count on one hand the rules changes I approve of since I’ve been alive.

I agree. Braves, O's and Dodgers were all playing great ball all the way to the end of the regular season, and then they got more than the normal 1-2 days off and it totally killed their mojo. I say bring back the 1 game WC.

I think expanding to a 7 game LDS is the easiest route. That way a loss in Game 1 doesn’t cripple you like it does in a 5 games series. I also think Game 1 of the LDS should happen the very next day after a team wins the WC.
 
They should do away with divisions and leagues, shorten the season by 10 games, have 16 teams make the playoffs, re-seed after every round, best-of-7 every round, contract the Marlins, 4 outs per inning, 5 balls is a walk, 6 strikes is an out, and the 7th inning is the beer inning

How bout 16 teams make it and you play 7 games each series and the playoff goes until Thanksgiving?

I would absolutely agree with that

Like I said elsewhere, the older Costas gets, the more desperate he is to be clever and he’s just not.
