Three straight blank ballots for this old fuck who doesn't even go to games anymore. Ron Cook having a ballot because he once covered the game when Honus Wagner played is what is wrong with the BBWAA.
Someone needs to shove his ballots up his own ass.
The people who dropped players off their ballot whom they previously voted specifically so Jeter could go into the Hall by themselves should've been banned from the game. They need to seriously redo the balloting for MLB. Once sharing a steak with Babe Ruth shouldn't get you lifetime rights to vote for the HOF.

Not sure if we have the same 5, but that is my count too.I agree that there should be some kind of sunset rule for retired writers.
But….
This is a really weak class, so submitting a blank ballot THIS YEAR is almost defendable.
If I had a ballot, I would only have about 5 guys on it. But I am a “Small Hall” guy.
There is not a single “no brainer” on this ballot. For me, the closest is Kent, but I understand he won’t make it (and while I think he belongs, his inclusion isn’t a “die on that hill” opinion). Others who I would consider are Rolen, Jones, Vizquel, Pettitte, Rollins, Sheffield and Helton. Not sure if we have the same 5, but that is my count too.
Ok, we differ a lot then. There is not a single “no brainer” on this ballot. Upon second look, I think I would only have 3 or 4.
We differ.Ramirez and ARod are ”no”s for me right now. They both broke stated rules in the game multiple times at a time where that rule was the focus of the game. There is no legal question that the broke an actual rule.
They are totally different from B&C.
Made no sense to elevate him like that when he was never the best player in the league and rarely the best player on his own team. Also thanks to Covid, Jeter had to share his induction with other players even though he was the only one voted in for his class.
Suck on that, boomers![]()

The fact that Curt Schilling won't get in the hall is proof that the people who vote are left wing assholes. He's not in only because of his conservative political views and outspoken way. His baseball creds are good enough. This process needs an overhaul.
I could give a pass on it this year. Three straight blankets preceded by two Yankee-only ones because ThEy WeRe YaNkEeS is grounds for space jettison.Ordinarily, I’d agree with you but I don’t think I see a HOF there. Vizquel could have been, but too much baggage there now.
Agree on that, but the only ones on this ballot with HOF credentials are tainted (Manny, Vizquel and ARod). Agree on the pattern though.I could give a pass on it this year. Three straight blankets followed by two Yankee-only ones because ThEy WeRe YaNkEeS is grounds for space jettison.
Why don't you drag your progressive faggoty ass back down to the basement and eat your Froot Loops.Oh Jesus Christ. Shut the fuck up.
