Most are arguing against them not because of who they have let in, but because who they are keeping out.
 
it's going to be so annoying if we get a shutout. BBWAA writers past 60 should be euthanised

Sheff was mentioned in the Mitchell Report. So he belongs in the convo with Bonds, Clemens and Ortiz.

ARod failed tests multiple times (I think 3x?), so that puts him in a class all his own. If you are pro-ARod, than I suspect you are pro-Rose as well. They are very comparable.

I was pretty young when it went down, but I seem to remember Rolen getting booed in Philly after he went to the Cardinals

while I wouldn't place any of these players above Clemens/Bonds (and I fully support them), HOF worthy players shouldn't have that held against them just because the BBWAA is full of holier than thou douchebags.

Jones is one of the greatest defensive CF the game ever saw. He had a shorter career due to his style of play. Rolen was a fat bum on the corner.

WAR is a great stat at times, but doesn't tell near the whole story. Only a homer could argue Rolen over Jones.

Also 14th best in CF (a premium position) is more valuable than 10th best at 3rd.
