I wouldn't be upset with that. But I think it is Daboll or Shanahan that should get it.I would give Dan Campbell coach of the year for the turnaround he did with the Lions the second half. I thought they were going to be at the bottom after a couple of games and they ended up with a winning record.
Daboll was written off as NYG were going to be dead last in the NFCE and had a massive QB problem on its hands. They played most of the season with a WR1 that would be lucky to be a WR3 on most other teams.
Shanahan is more a product of solid FO moves, and some luck, but when your day 1 starter plays in 2 games and then his backup goes 10.5 and you have to hand it over to a rookie who was literally passed over by every team at least 6 times...impressive. Getting CMAC helps anyone look better, but I'm impressed that SF weathered the storm like they did. Most teams would fold shop if the #3 QB had to step in for 5 games. It's like Dak taking over all over again.
