Lol nah man.. Don't put this on momma. His dad is a UT fan too but we weren't close to his recruitment. This is what aggy does, they get unexpected commits. But I'm enjoying this only because that hashtag that ou twitter was working so hard for to get trending was cringe....

I must say OB never disappoints!
OU mod says David Hicks was a silent for them and had been for some time, as late as this past Saturday. Well he announced 30 mins ago and guess who he picked. ATM. Are you getting it yet? Do you not see whats going on and what the game has transformed in to? ATM was able to walk in 10 mins before his annoucnement and drop a bag big enough for him to betray all of the relationships he had built over the last few months. They took an entire DL front of 5 stars last year and they just added another one. Do you understand how insane that is? You could see the look in his eyes as he talked about it after, sounds like Jimbo himself wrote it for him to say. I feel for our sooner brothers today on this one, they got whiplashed BAD today. If you know a sooner out there, maybe take them out for some ice cream, bc after RRS, we have to come together to fight our common enemy.
However, this is something that we as a program need to be more active in. too many times are we the hat on the table that looks like it was picked up at a mall kiosk l while the others look like they actually came from a team store. too many times are we not getting top in state talent while it goes to ATM, and why not? when the common denominator in the reasoning is clearly money, like it is here, there is absolutely no reason that we shouldnt have been rightfully at the table with our check books out. Great programs arent always filled with kids who want to be there at first, and while I want every kid to want to throw the horns up, we need to start persuading better. Playing it nice and by the books has not worked out for us so far and im tired of being one of hte only programs who cares about doing it the right way. We start landing kids like ATM and watch the clamps come down. might be what this filthy sports needs.
TLDR: We need to start opening the checkbooks more

But you have to get used to this.. As a UT fan we've seen this song and dance before.. I have no doubts that DL for them is going to have some turnover soon.. they have a lot of high quality players there and at some point, they want to get more snaps
Edit: In fact i think they know a couple of their hauls from the last two cycles are looking to bounce in December which made Hicks a much more higher priority..imo

Yeah Jimbo needs a qb in a bad way. If he can't pry Malachi Nelson from Usc then he's in a world of hurt. Jackson Arnold is the least of my concerns. He will be a Sooner.
Texas fans want Akana real bad. He will be in Norman this weekend. I think he ends up at texas but another melt down would be epic.

he decommitted from us.. Terrific player though..he's probably had the best season so far of all the top prospects in state this year (WRs). Word is he wanted to stay in Houston because of his son.. I can't get mad at that, he could have gone anywhere, he's that good.

i don't know him personally.. my daughter runs cross country and is on the track team. But she drags me to every home game. This past week was homecoming.. I'm thinking of going to the 5th ward in Houston, finding me a couple kids who need a home.. set up a meet at FootWork Kings facility to see who has what it takes to call me dad..

this has to be aggy right? They need a RB in this class in the worst way. Achane is gone, LJ Johnson is gone.. Who knows about Moss. Rueben Owens may actually stick with Louisville..
