2023 season thread

I just can't cheer for a yota. We all saw what JGR did to Furniture Row when Truex was making them look like shit.
I’m a MOPAR man at heart, so the one manufacturer is just as good as the other in NASCAR for me. I like Truex, I don’t mind Bell. I hate Hamlin and Ty Gibbs.

Erik Jones is gonna be a quasi Gibbs driver again

I hope the Wood Brothers switch to Toyota just to piss you off about the 21.

I mean, the 11 is just as storied as either and it’s a Toyota and you aren’t bitching about that that
11 is a storied Nascar number, but it's not like it has been on a Junior Johnson or Ned Jarrett car for a very long time.

Richard Petty’s involvement in the 43 has been minimal since the 2009 merger with Evernham. Pretty much just a figure head. That was 14 years ago.

Junior Johnson was still running the 11 in 1994. In 2008, the 11 became a Toyota, 14 years after Bill Elliott won the last race for a Junior Johnson owned 11.

Since 2009, the 43 has already switched from Dodge to Ford to Chevy.

Not a big deal in the slightest. If anything, with more factory support, it might get the 43 winning more often, seeing as it has saw victory lane twice this century and one was a rain shortened, wreck filled night race at Daytona

Get ready for the 43 being a Toyota next season. Legacy is switching. Assuming that means the GMS truck team will as well

It's good for them and good for the sport. They were getting to the point where most of the field in all of the series are Chevy. Toyota getting another team shows that they're still willing to invest in the sport, which is much needed. They can't survive if its just Chevy fielding basically everything. They need support from all 3. And from what I understand, Legacy won't be a JGR derivative like Jordan is and Furniture Row use to be. They're going to be doing their own stuff, similar to how Hendrick and RCR do with Chevy. So for Legacy, its a big win. With the added support and the people they've been bringing in over the last year (and continue to do so), it should be the most competitive Petty affiliated cars in decades. Richard Petty is still kinda irked with Legacy, mostly because he finally figured out he's nothing but a figurehead and has been for years and years, other people just did a better job making him feel included whereas Legacy just went ahead with stuff. But he should be happy with these moves if he actually cares about seeing the 43 run well.

Berry signing with Harvick's sports agency group. Rumors abound that he's going to be replacing Harvick at SHR next year. I can see that happening, but only on a 2 year deal. I have a feeling that once Dale JR starts his Cup team, Berry will be the guy. Berry owes Jr for doing everything he could to get him a ride.

I think JRM might be coming sooner rather than later. With both of Rick Ware’s sons having issues with domestic violence with one having a face tattoo, I look for RWR to be leaving NASCAR pretty soon and that’s two charters

But I wouldn’t be shocked if SHR went with Haile Deegan to replace Harvick just for the guaranteed sponsorship

Have the Darlington throwback paint schemes been released?

Love the Davey Allison tribute!

Pretty weird that there are 2 Dale Jarrett/UPS ones.

Almirola oughta win since he's sporting the paint scheme of one of the most illegal cars to ever win a nascar race.

Is that Tony Stewart scheme to the one he was using when he murdered a man?

Retard doesn’t know the difference between a sprint car and a midget to the surprise of nobody

They need to throwback to the old MBNA Ward Burton scheme
