Rain delay really fucked things up. Mike Soroka making his return and the race still isn’t over
 
Zane Smith is gonna be a stud in a couple years, but that’s a terrible spot to put a rookie in on old tires in front of the field

Larson 2023 is like Kyle Busch in 2008. Checkers or wreckers
 
If Chase gets suspended, the pool for replacement drivers is gonna be smaller since the Cup Series is at Gateway and the Busch Series will be out west.

Josh Berry would be able to race, but he wouldn’t be able to practice or qualify in the Cup Series.

There’s not really any Chevy Truck Series drivers close to Cup ready. There’s Matt Dibenedetto, but there’s a reason why the only ride he was able to get was a mid tier truck ride
 
But after sleeping on it, Chase’s deal yesterday wasn’t as bad as what Bubba did last year, Bubba dove from the wall all the way to the apron to take out Larson and collected Christopher Bell as well. Elliott didn’t have to go far to take out Hamlin, and to my knowledge, Elliott didn’t put his hands on an official.

Also prior to the Bubba-Larson incident, Justin Haley had a similar incident with a driver I can’t recall and just got a two lap penalty, and in the truck series, Ben Rhodes did the same thing to Christian Eckes a couple years ago and got no punishment

I still think Chase gets a week off since the Bubba-Larson incident is the most recent similar case that set the new precedent, and there will be cries of racism if Chase isn’t suspended
 
This is a little older, but this resulted in Jake Crum getting his NASCAR license downgraded to essentially the same level as a driver under 18:



Worth noting, this is the same guy that just got arrested for attacking the spotter of a driver that got into an incident with his wife at Hickory:

Maybe Eckes gets the nod since he already has the Napa connection? Idk how GMS would feel loaning him out since there seems to be bad blood between them and Chevrolet.

Eckes isn’t a GMS driver. The NAPA connection is good, but he’s not nearly Cup ready.
 
Chase suspended 1 race. Hopefully this will shut up the "Golden Boy" comments, but I know it won't.

Good move for Hendrick IMO. Terrible move for Spire. I know it’s just one race, but they pretty well just lost a race car with that turd driving a Cup car for the first time
