I don’t even try with mine. I accept that she’s never gonna love Jerry Jeff Walker the way I do, and she accepts that I’m never gonna be a Kenny Chesney or Pink fan, but at the end of the day, it’s my house and my speaker

Robert Plant with Allison Kraus far exceeded my expectations. They were very goodGoing to see Willie Nelson, Bob Dylan and Robert Plant with Allison Kraus the 21st of this month in Alpharetta

Bob Dylan was the most disappointing concert experience I’ve ever had. Pretty sure every song he played was a cover that he did in rockabilly style. Love the guy, but he was not good even when accounting for age
Willie Nelson was sick and his doctor wouldn’t let him play last night, but his son, Lukas took his place and Derek Trucks took over Lukas’s normal role in the band, and it was actually amazing

He did fine. There’s not as big of a vocal range as he has to hit, he’s got Allison there if a high note is needed and they have a really good band behind them. Allison is a great fiddle player, and they had JD McPherson on guitar, and he’s one of the best in the businessThis is good to read. I like what they have done the last couple of years and wondered if they Plant could still replicate his studio stuff on stage.
going to see Mt Joy in July with the fiance
and I got tickets to see Sturgill in November.
nothing else on my calendar as I don't have the time
I was on the beach for that. Thought the Vandals sounded like a band who had only played 10 gigs in the last 3 years. Didn't get there in time to hear the Milkmen.Just saw The Vandals and The Dead Milkmen open for The Bouncing Souls. Not the best Souls performance (though my friends and I also had our attention more on our friend's arm, so there's that), but The Vandals and Milkmen were awesome. Nice to finally cross those bands off, though I saw Joe Jack play solo at a record store in East Brunswick.
Got NOFX on Labor Day weekend with Dropkick Murphys, Lagwagon, Teenage Bottlerocket and a few others, and New Pornographers in a few weeks. Probably gonna do Bad Religion in September as well

Does seem like they fucked up a few lyrics (Urban Struggle and Idea For A Movie). I don't think Freese drums for them live anymore now that he's with the Foo Fighters
he needs to slow down. I can't keep up with the number of albums he is putting outZach Bryan was awesome last night. And it was like a high school reunion. Ran into like 10 people I went to school with that wasn’t part of my group
Saw NOFX play their final East Coast show. They played a great set (even played Timmy The Turtle!) and finished with The Decline. One of the better shows I've been to for sure.
