Who Would You Vote In (up to 10)?

Voting for ARod here would go a long way in letting those two in. Which is why no one will vote for him.
It does seem like voting for Hall of Famers is very subjective? Would Curt Schilling have been voted into the Hall of Fame if he supported Joe Biden?

ARod is not in the same discussion as BB and RC. ARod actually failed MULTIPLE tests. He broke ACTUAL baseball rules. BB and RC just (allegedly) did something that a commissioner said he didn’t want players to do (which carried absolutely zero weight).

No question. Same with Jeff Kent.

Different sport, but it is the Tim Hardaway effect.

Probably only Wagner or Beltre. Though I'd love to see Big Sexy, if just for the acceptance speech.

Helton
Wagner
Andruw
Sheffield
Manny
Beltre
A-Rod
Mauer

At this point, we're going to start having discussions about where the floor is, because we're now really through the point of a "backlog" of HoF guys. There shouldn't be a distinction for "first ballot" (there wasn't anyway, there isn't a first ballot section of the Hall in Cooperstown to begin with) and hopefully we get to the understanding that if a guy is a HoFer, just vote him in. There will be very few times where a multitude of shoo-in guys comes up for election at any given time, so it's going to be "should X guy get voted in if Y guy is there?"

Hopefully that Baines inclusion doesn't dilute the Hall too badly.
Can he get voted out of the hall of fame?

Probably not, because Schilling would still be a world-class douche canoe.

Schilling's problem is that he was good enough to be a good Hall of Famer, but he wasn't good enough to be a shithead while doing it. You can be a titanic shithead if you were a multiple time MVP (Bonds would have gotten in if he retired after the '99 season). Schilling was never the best pitcher in the league, but he was close enough that he should be in.

I think he should be in the Hall, but I have no vote in the matter. He'll probably get voted in at some point down the line by the vets committee, which will be doing their job at that point in correcting a wrong that the writers did.
