I miss Lou's battles with Mark May. May would say something outrageously stupid and Lou would get all flustered and start stuttering, spittle flying everywhere. It was grand television

I’ll always love Lou but he is and always will be a homer so I’d take his evaluation of the game with a big grain of salt. He’s a tremendous ambassador for the school but he would tell you the 3-9 2007 team was national championship caliber.

That said, getting Mark May to have to throw on the leprechaun suit in 2012 is a fond memory.

Mark Msy is the southbound end of a northbound horse. He has never gotten over Pitt losing to OSU at Pitt in 1996 by a score of 72-0.

My brother in law and I took our two 11 year old sons to that game (from central Ohio). Traffic was a nightmare and the stadium at that time was at the top of what was aptly named "cardiac hill". We got there 5 minutes into the game and OSU was already up 14-0.
