March Madnes 2024 NCAA Tournament: First Round

I'm not sure I've watched a game this year where they actually hit the open 3s the opponents give them. @ Nova maybe

Either way Kolek looked good. Moved the ball, they should have had him punish that shorter guy

Joplin is an enigma.

Can’t walk and chew bubble gum but tries to drive.

Great shooter but can’t make wide open catch and shoot 3s

Drains every contested/step back he takes.

i picked New Mexico over Clemson, lmao. I relied on kenpom for that one. #21 vs #34

never again

New Mexico is just too little

pussy ass bitches.

Seton Hall and St. John's

I mean maybe Seton Hall because they beat UConn and Marquette and swept St John's during the season. But St. John's doesn't really have much of a case. CSU actually did stuff out of league(contrary to what the committee said).

Thanks for NOTHING, New Mexico

its pretty simple

MWC tournament teams: New Mexico (autobid), Colorado State (4 wins vs the field), San Diego State (ditto)

Nevada, Boise State and Utah State should have been left home.

Fuck the MWC. They confuse the biggest retards in college basketball media every year.

1-0 for ACC teams that matter :cool2:

their coach is Bruce Pearl. He's a snitch. Fuck him.

I get your point, but teams like Villanova and UCLA need to get their shit together and not shit the bed OOC.
Don't know about Nova, but UCLA had a full out rebuild this year, Prior, they outperformed in the Tourney pretty much since Cronin arrived, especially the last two years.

This year's rebuild team had the usual Cronin defense, just didn't have enough leadership on the court to close out teams they could have or should have beat. By that I mean, they played up to their competition and lost by just a few and they played down to thier competition and lost by just a few. A lack of leadership was obvioius.

UCLA will be fine with another year under the belt in the rebuild process, I'm sure.

Okay, so you'd leave out Nevada with 3 wins against the field(TCU, CSU, SDSU). And Boise State with 4 wins against the field(St. Mary's SDSU x2 and CSU)? Utah State didn't really do anything OOC.

St. John's had one win against the field(2 if you hypothetically want to include Seton Hall). OU only had 2. Indiana State one. Seton Hall 2. Pitt had 2. Wake did have 4(though one was against UVA).

CSU went 10-8 in the MWC. It's time to stop pretending that's good enough when you're in a mid major league.

UCLA was expected to be good this year and so was USC.

UCLA could win a couple of games too. doesn't mean they deserve to get in.

so in other words, Boise State had zero wins vs P6 opponents. and yeah, obviously three wins versus the field doesn't cut it.

MWC has taken advantage of a flawed system. It's time for the system to adjust. The league is a good mid-major. They aren't a high major. The MWC receiving six bids is fucking ridiculous.
