She was already down a set and was losing the second set when she had her meltdown. So it's not like it caused her to blow a huge lead. Definitely prevented her from coming back and potentially forcing a third set, but it seems like she never really got momentum back after getting up 4-1 and 5-3 in the first set.

Team USA returned the ball almost the full length of the field with no time left to basically walk off the win. AUS went from the favorites two games ago to a late loss to Canada then a really late loss to US to not get a medal

Anyone else notice that the timeout horn at the basketball games for the Olympics is the exact same first note as Tom Petty's "You don't know how it feels"?

I sincerely hope that one of their opponents punches them right in the balls immediately after the opening bell and continues doing so until they are disqualified.

OK, so now that we have more information this comment is clearly no longer accurate. And I suppose that the two athletes aren't really "at fault" so much if it is a situation similar to the one with Caster Semenya many years ago (and yes I know that it probably sounds "offensive" calling this "a situation" but I don't want to spend an hour writing and rewriting this post, I'd rather just get it out). And to be honest I was actually somewhat sympathetic to Caster's situation back when it was a story.

But I do think it's a bit different if we're talking about a violent contact sport like Boxing. There was no direct risk of injury to another competitor if Ms. Semenya ran faster than they did. And while extra T is an advantage on the track it is a much bigger advantage in the boxing ring. Actually I'm curious now, does anyone know if the testosterone based restrictions/limitations on event participation that they imposed to "deal with" her (no middle distances unless you get your T down, only sprints) are still in place today?
 
If anyone is bored watching paint dry or grass grow, the women's soccer team is 0-0 about to start extra time. Japan clogging the field on defense and the US is too scared to push and try to find an opening.
 
Mixed relay was good just now. We were up front until the last 15 yards when Netherlands long legged chick caught and passed our rather short by comparison woman.
 
This guy's dick kept him from winning a medal.
