2024 Olympics

We don't have that one guy who posted dozens of threads about the Olympics here, I guess. There's a couple of threads out there for specific sports already.

No opening ceremonies or first games yet, but we already have a cheating incident on our hands.

Zambia women's (with a big question mark if you see their mugs) soccer team supposedly banging players. Can coach them during games, but has to stay in separate hotel and take separate transportation to games too.

TikToking

I won't be surprised when they award medals for Quidditch. And I'm not even joking (quite rare for me around here, I know).
Iran/Iraq/Hamas would be a shoe in for the gold in beheading, suicide bombing if those events existed.

Twice accused on sexual misconduct and still allowed to coach. Yikes

Most entertaining part will be when USA Men's basketball will fail to win gold. Shit they barely beat South Sudan (didn't know there was a North/South) and Germany in last two warmups. They are going down imo.

There is some fuckery afoot.

oh no this turrbull

Yeah, I will watch the races and stuff. Wife likes the judging sports. It's kind of the same for me with the winter games. I don't pay attention to anything until the Olympics, then I'm all in on speed skating or swimming.
Same.

Summer: Track & Field, swimming that's pretty much it
Winter: Pretty much everything except figure skating.

For events like gymnastics, figure skating, diving etc, I can appreciate the talent, training, and skill, but I have a hard time watching events where somebody is scored higher or lower "just because".

Assassin’s Creed style carrying of the torch going in now. I approve.

A lot of weird ballet dancing, though. Not into it.

My wife gets into the gymnastics. I'll watch because it's on. I like the odd sports like water polo and handball, too.
