2024 Recruiting Thread

This is the problem that a Florida poster had here last year ... he was bragging about them having the top star average. I told him that didn't mean anything and he trolled on and on that it did. He should be in here now, because they actually have a good average when looking at the rating, not the stars.

Quantity does matter, as you point out, because the more players you get your average is likely to drop unless you are adding Top 50 guys. Even then the top recruiting teams will add some project 3*, and some ST players that bring the average down. Also, it's April/May ... there will be about 10 more re-rankings, and that will make a difference. The top recruiting team bumps will take place. Finally, with NIL I would expect some committed to de-commit. I bet we lose at least 3 of the players currently committed to us. It's just the way of the world these days.

Hey, better to be on this list right now than not be on this list right now.
Michigan was ranked like 55th at this point last year. So this is a much more fun list to be on.

Four-star wide receiver Zion Kearney announced his pledge to the Sooners. Oklahoma was contending with Nebraska, LSU, Arkansas, Texas A&M, and the University of Houston.

Top 100 player and another track guy.

Kearney hails from Missouri City, Texas. He is a talented wide receiver standing at 6-foot-3 and 195 pounds. Ranked as the 16th-best prospect in the state of Texas. He is the No. 89 player according to 247Sports and is the No. 64 player in the composite rankings.

Kearney also runs track, and his ability to get up to top speed in the open field is very evident on tape. During his junior season, he posted 100-meter times of 10.89 and 10.98 in February. In the fall, he was a unanimous selection to Texas District 20-6A first-team after tallying 39 catches for 765 yards and eight touchdowns in 2022.

Same service that ranks Wesco as the top player? They are setting you up.. But he'll be a welcomed addition to the track team 😊😊

I mean all Cook has shown for you guys is that he can't catch the ball. It's all a crap shoot.

So, who does Raiola transfer to after a year of sitting behind Gunner Stockton?
1. He knows he has to win the job. He's not going to transfer after 1 year of sitting.
2. He has to beat out Puglisi if he sticks in this class and right now he is saying he will. We'll see.
3. Like Beck, Vandagrif and Stockton have transferred? (one will, but they haven't shown they will jump).
4. What a dumbass UGA fan who is looking for the bad of getting not one, but two of the best QBs in this years class, including the no. 1 player.
5. Your Dawg card should have been taken away a long time ago.

Fields said the same things. The top rated QBs are gonna want to play immediately

Puglisi is expendable. Never trust a recruit from New England.

Vandagriff is as good as gone

There’s nothing bad about what I said.

You’re an overly sensitive pussy.

Why would he come to UGA then? He has specifically been told that he has to win the job, and that it is more likely than not that one of Beck, Vandagriff, and Stockton are going to be in front of him. He knows that they started a walk-on in front of a former 5* when JTD got healthy. Assuming Beck foes to the NFL, he's not going to beat out Gunnar in his 3rd year in the program.

For someone who says he knows a lot about CFB you really don't. 5* QBs are just as likely to not succeed as they are to be the wonderkid. No one at UGA is playing unless they earn it. He is no different. And if he transfers like Fields, fuck him, he made a mistake coming here.

The 5 star QBs being told they’re gonna have to earn it, and they just assume they will, and when they don’t, they look elsewhere.

You taking that comment as a shot at UGA is hilarious to me.

It should have been taken as a nod to the QB room, but sensitive pussies are sensitive pussies, and there’s not much you can do about that except let them let it all out when their weak mind can’t properly process something

Raiola to the portal after one season..
