2024 Recruiting Thread

he visited UGA a week after his OV at UT

Didn’t take an OV.

Nothing against him, but he was never a serious UGA recruit.

Yeah that was definitely a clickbait-level list there.

We shall see. If he lands Cadem Durham that would 2 top 10 backs this cycle.

yeah.. if he lands and holds onto them for sure.. I like Durham more than Tatum..but I just wonder about his size.. would look to fill 3rd downs and screens wonderfully though.. kid can run

Forgot to add this a big get for Skip Johnson as well.

For those that follow recruiting - I assume those here - this has been a weird year. Not sure if it's NIL, less slots due to the portal, or what, but classes are getting 90% or more completed before the season.

Going into the last week before camps start. The dead period is over and everyone is having a "cookout" and trying to get the last visits in before Fall. We have about 6 OVs left for Fall. The cookout will be unofficial visits for most, I believe.

From reading the tea leaves I think this is how we wrap up the Summer, understanding after the senior season and before ESD there will be some attrition and some flips. We have about 6 slots available for 31 or 32 in this class:

Committed that we lose:
ILB (26) Demarcus Riddick (likely to Bama)
S (79) Jalen Heyward (already gone)

We Land:
S (7) KJ Bolden
ILB (11) Justin Williams
RB (51) Nate Frazier
ILB (58) Chris Cole
ILB (102) Kris Jones
ATH (184) Kamron Mikell

Coin toss:
DL (3) Williams Nwaneri
WR (23) Ryan Wingo
S (81) Peyton Woodyard (current commit on flip watch)

We are out:
EDGE (36) Jordan Ross

We land 1 of these 3:
DL (3) Williams Nwaneri
DL (35) Aydin Breland
DL (37) LJ McCray
I'd prefer Nwaneri, duh, but would be very happy with McCray.

Nice ... landed the no. 1 ILB ... dude's a total beast. His film is unreal.

It's ILB room month ... we are going to lose 1 ... and gain 2 - the nos. 6 and 9 LBs.

Bad beat for Oregon, even if it’s Georgia. They were out in front for over a year. Elite speed. Should be a beast at 230 pounds in 2 years

hopefully this is a trend and Baker goes elsewhere too?

Pretty crazy when we only offered him in March 2023. Kind of easy to sell when you can point to the ILBs we've put in the league since CKS got there. This guy can be a Lombardi Trophy guy. He is really good.
