Daytona-Atlanta-COTA is no way to start a season. Essentially three gimmick races before the real season starts. Not all road courses are gimmicks, but it’s painfully obvious COTA isn’t meant for stock cars

As a relative newbie to nascar, I have thoroughly enjoyed Atlanta the last two years.

I was in attendance for two iconic finishes for my 9th and 10th birthdays. The old configuration will always be near and dear. Dale Sr’s second to last career win when he edged Bobby Labonte, and the Kevin Harvick’s first career win when he edged Jeff Gordon
