If i was depending on FCS all stars through the portal... I too would be stepping back away from recruiting lol jk jk

Recruiting high school is more important than ever.. it's tougher for a legit player to hit the portal after being in your program. Just look at the difference in names from last season's portal compared to the portal we just went through this season. Teams are retaining their best players more than what we saw following the '23 season

I mean OU does done better than most in the portal. Got the #1 Qb and #1 Rb this year. Baker, Kyler, Jalen, and Dillion Gabriel all portal guys.

Hartline is just a monster. Basically anything outside of enormous bags that OSU isn't going to give, he gets what he wants.

Also we now lead the nation in players with hyphenated last names involving the Dixon surname with two.

The Riavls UGA and Texas boards are the largest by big margins ... TX 1, UGA 2. Will be really interesting to see how this shakes out.

Let's see what happens now that they have to sign a contract with the school to get paid. The schools are putting in language for multiple years, etc. with buyout provisions. Won't take care of all the problems, but should allow schools to tie down players a bit more.
 
Today is a big day between UGA and Oregon for the no. 1 QB in the class, Jared Curtis. Once committed to UGA, backed off that pledge. UGA feeling good, Oregon not so much per the boards. Which means he is heading to Oregon. LOL.

In a week, back at it again with the no. 1 player and OT, Jackson Cantwell. Also between UGA and Oregon.



 
Next big thing is Cantwell. From our boards, they claim we are looking good. That would be two nice O pieces to pick up.

Unless the next school offers more than the money owed to the current school. It will end up like every other capped sports contracts...pay me more if I do well but don't take my money if I do bad.
 


Now THAT is a hell of a name!
