He also played at Kansas State....against Kansas State opponents. And, did you catch your bowl game against Missouri? I'm not sure the "more talent around him" argument works here. That looked pretty damn dire.

I'm not upset. I'm just laughing that you replaced what OSU fans called the worst OSU QB in two decades at Ohio State....with someone who is statistically a downgrade. You're HOPING he does better with Ohio State talent. Again, a QB who got benched at the school you recruited him from. A QB that had almost a 2-1 TD to INT ratio.
you are putting too much into a game that was played in the first couple weeks of the season.. Howard isn't a scrub. I think he is a better player than McCord.. which is all tosu is looking for in a QB heading into this season

Will Howard had 527 less yards, the same number of TDs, 4 more interceptions, a worse completion percentage and a worse QBR than Kyle McCord this season.

Oh, and he was benched at one point in favor of a true freshman.
If you're gonna be an ignorant retard, you could at least try being original about it.

McCord finished
25th in YPG
25th in completion percentage
14th in passer rating
24 TDs
6 INTs

Howard finished
50th in YPG
65th in completion percentage
54th in passer rating
24 TDs
10 INTs

There is no argument to be made here. Howard is statistically very much a downgrade at QB. He is worse in pretty literally EVERY single metric. Hoping he does better with OSU talent around him is a pretty big stretch.

I copy stuff from twitter fairly regularly. Sometimes it's easier to grab the text than post to the link to twitter. What's the big deal? If you'd like an original, see the post above this.

This guy is fucking pissed. Stallions is gone and the difference was palpable when playing a down OSU team this year and barely escaping. Now we're bringing in an experienced, mobile QB that shines brightest in big games and already hates michigan. I understand your dire concern.

lol. His experience has resulted in almost twice as many interceptions. Are you saying we'll get two from him this year instead of one from McCord?

LOL sorry, you're not allowed to cheat anymore, and the covid year is gone. For the sake of you and your entire fanbase's collective mental health, you'd better pray you win Monday night.

Then again, winning a NC in a down year of the CFP that's going to forever be tainted by your cheating (and very possible taken away by the NCAA anyhow) is probably not much solace.

it's going to be wild seeing him in Day's type of offense.. Day usually doesn't like his QBs running which is a big strength of Howard.

There were opportunities for Stroud to pick up yards with his legs in the 2022 and he didn't.

KSU also runs the ball a lot more than OSU does, and Howard does have an impact there (81 carries for 351 yards and 9 TDs, and that's including however many sacks he had). I think the ISU game also drags his numbers down, 48 pass attempts in the snow.

Why? I'm good. Our national title happened back in November. These games are all gravy. I'd love to win, but I am already ecstatic we won the rose bowl.

I love htat Ohio State fans have been reduced to hoping the NCAA does something meaningless. Even in a world where you claim they are going to take something away, you know what I'm going to do? Ignore it. Because that shit doesn't matter. Nothing the NCAA does changes the result. Moreover, the NCAA has never voided wins that don't involve ineligible players. And Michigan's "scandal" happened well before the Ohio State game; which means I have bad news for your hopes and dreams on this one.

if i'm wrong i think the tosu fans can correct me, but IIRC CJ didn't run because Day didn't coach for his QBs to do so.. It's like Sark with his QBs..

Just saying part of Howard's success is using his legs on designed runs.

There's a reason why Lincoln was looking at adding him to his team as well.

Yeah, that's how it seemed to be. I liked Howard a lot coming into this season and I wouldn't have minded landing him in the portal.

Michigan seems to keep their designed runs for McCarthy on the back burner unless they're playing a big opponent. I was surprised we didn't see more runs from him against Bama

didn't want to give Dallas Turner a free shot to end his day early lol

My hopes and dreams are irrelevant, I'm more focused on simple facts. You guys magically were able to comfortably beat OSU with Stroud, yet with McCord you barely squeaked by with your best team arguably ever. You cheated, and everyone knows it.

Will Howard was contacted by multiple high-end programs that need talented QBs; McCord's top options were Nebraska and Syracuse. Is Howard elite? We'll see. He's never had elite weapons before, but now he will. McCord has had elite weapons and the results were mediocre. Howard is a threat running, McCord is not even slightly. All signs point to this being a dramatic upgrade, but I can understand why your nerves are taking you in a different direction.

He's more mobile that's all I need to know

Yup. If Howard is mobile, then he will probably be better than McCord.

More importantly, Ohio State needs to fix their offensive line. If they can't open holes for the running game or pass protect very well then it doesn't matter who is under center.

I think you're the only here that things Howard is a downgrade. Stats don't tell the whole story. McCord was pretty mediocre in the 3 biggest games for OSU against ND, PSU and Michigan. He lit up everyone else(statistically speaking), as he probably should given the massive talent advantage he had to work with. If you watched him at all, he missed a ton of throws, isn't very mobile, and can't make it through his progression. Howard is simply a more talented QB.

McCord was so mundane all year with all the talent he had around him. Michigan fans of course are sad to see him go.

You are only lying to yourself. I know you are sad McCord is leaving but you will be more sad when Harballs bolts to the Superchargers.
