Everyone’s got their seattle grunge scene ranking. AiC and Soundgarden probably round off the bottom of my list. Mudhoney, Pearl Jam, Nirvana at the top.

Nirvana is bubble gum pop, with a fuzz box and Pearl Jam might just be the most boring band of all-time.

I have nothing against Nirvana, but as far as grunge bands go, I'd 1000% rather listen to Melvins or Mudhoney.

Side note: I never really thought of AiC as a grunge band. They just came from the same area around the same time in my opinion.

Same with Pearl Jam, and all of them really. They were all pretty different but happened to be from the same area with a few similarities.
 
Purely anecdotal, but two of the worst live shows I've ever seen was AiC. Both times, complete dumpster fires.

Might be why I like AiC a lot more than any of the other grunge bands. I do like the Melvins though. I can appreciate the bands, grunge just never has been my cup of tea(numerous exceptions of course, just in general)
