I have nothing against Nirvana, but as far as grunge bands go, I'd 1000% rather listen to Melvins or Mudhoney.

Side note: I never really thought of AiC as a grunge band. They just came from the same area around the same time in my opinion.
The thing is, grunge was never really a thing. It was just a marketing ploy by the record companies and media, just look at interviews with the guys from those bands and they say the same thing.

I watched an interview with Jerry Cantrell where he basically said the same thing, he said yeah they all knew each other and supported (he actually shared an apartment with Eddie Vedder) each other since Seattle was a much smaller scene than places like LA or NY, but they all had different styles and all did their own thing.

BTW on YouTube there's an interview series called Icons, made by Gibson. I've watched several of them, the one with Jerry is fantastic, especially when he talks about his friendship with Eddie Van Halen.

unpopular opinion apparently, but i like nirvana and the foo fighters.

don't get me wrong, i do enjoy many of their songs, but i can only take them in small doses. (especially the foo fighters)

Same.

Neither are among my favorites, but I like both. Some songs I really like.

Those that doesn't agree with us likely spend their afternoons stuffing greased bowling pins in their asses.

It was family board game night. We played some Nirvana thanks to this thread. We really enjoyed “Rape Me”. A classic.
Full disclosure, I was stone cold sober and asleep by 9:30. Gym day this morning means 4:40am alarm.

hahaha...He was a hot mess. The second time I saw them, he polished off a fifth and a half of Jack Daniels in a 45 minute set.

He was making up the lyrics as he was going, and they were mostly just crude and crass gestures...fart noises en shit.

He was doing Michael Winslow's cover of "Rooster", you haven't heard it? That guy is more underrated than anyone we've talked about here

I don't know if that is technically a "board game" but using a board for it does help with preventing rugburn so I would allow it.

Or I would not allow it and end up as a victim anyway, I mean half the fun is that it all depends on what card you draw!

I think Foo Fighters are overrated as well

I’ll never understand the Foo Fighters popularity

I’ve tried so hard to like the Foo Fighters and I can’t.

Foo Fighters on the other hand, is utter garbage.

Foo Fighters are terrible, bruh.

I admit they are a glorified pop band
