If we are being honest I am similar, while I have seen "A Christmas Story" from start to finish a number of times they are definitely outnumbered by the times that I've seen "just part of it".

I get that but how did you avoid seeing any of the Stars Wars movies as a kid? I think that "Return of the Jedi" was the first movie that my sister and I were allowed to see by ourselves (looking at the release dates it might have been the 1985 re-release, we were both very mature and responsible kids but I feel like '83 would have been extreme free-range cinema :laugh:). But I mean, that was more about getting to see a movie without a parent than it was about wanting to see the actual movie. I would have seen anything.

Plus when we were too young to do anything good and before we were drinking and getting high sometimes we'd just see whatever was showing, I saw a lot of stuff I didn't really want to see much.

That being said I have never seen Scarface (small parts, I've walked in a room when it's been on but never sat and watched) or Game of Thrones either and I have seen a limited amount of The Sopranos episodes (my father and ex-father-in-law both liked it a lot, honestly I'll probably watch it all at some point).

My younger brother is a full-blown Star Wars nerd too. Harry Potter-loving, Star Wars obsessed en sech.


I've seen bits and pieces of Star Wars, and we've watch the Mandelorian en sech...I know the lore and characters en sech, I've even wasted enormous amounts of time drawing shit from the universe....Been to Star Wars land in Dibney numerous times....but the movies kinda bore me. :noidea:

I've tried to watch the Godfathers fairly recently, and fell the fuck asleep both times.




I also fucking hate Kill Bill 1 and 2. Instant cure for insomnia for me.

I mean I was 7 when I saw "Return of the Jedi", it definitely wasn't interfering with any chick chasing :laugh:

And yeah, I'm more talking about those years when you were old enough to not have a parent chained to you but before you were chasing chicks.

My ex-wife and I went to the wedding of two of our friends very shortly after college and ran into a girl that my ex-wife had played softball with in college for a couple of years. She kept going on about how my ex-wife used to watch the end of "Star Wars" before every game, like religiously. My ex-wife is just kinda smiling, uh huh, uh huh, sure. Then when she left us alone my ex-wife starts laughing and says to me "I've never seen 'Star Wars' in my life. I'm never gonna see her again so I don't care enough to tell her that she is wrong but I wonder who she thinks I am?" :laugh:

I saw like 2 movies in the theater my entire childhood. I saw more drive-ins than theaters.

Most my friends loved it. They had the action figures en shit. I never owned a single action figure. We were poor. Here's a ball and a stick. lol
