Yea or something like that. When I saw this thread it made me go back and read up on the events. The USGS guy was 6 miles awayWasn't there an observer for the USGS that was too close and they never found him??

I want to say I saw a doc on this recently where this guy had the camera up and it caught the perfect angle of half the mountain blowing off. Can’t remember if he survived or if it recorded him trying to survive but not making it.I remember there was some guy (maybe a scientist) that had a video camera on the back side of the volcano had video of him trying to survive & walk on the Mt. while this all was going on. Some documentary or some shit when I was a kid. Just remember thinking damn. How could you be on that mountain & live.
