GAME #6 Ohio State(-3) @ #9 Notre Dame - 7:30 ET | NBC

Against a team that scored over 40 the 5 games previous

you act like OSU can just enforce its will on everyone. The other side has highly rated guys also.

This whole shtick of yours is ridiculous.

When’s the last time we really enforced our Will on a good team? It’s been Michigan doing it to us the last 2 seasons. The Georgia game we almost won but in the end the same awful defensive decisions costed us.

I never said we should enforce our will on everyone. But we also shouldn’t be getting pushed around so much like we do at times

That was a game that one team had to survive. Very entertaining. I hate ohio state, but ohio state is ours to beat. I have to respect both teams, but I can't wait to face you guys again. Two wins in a row don't mean anything - recent history has not been evened yet!!!

It was two teams both doing all they could to give the game away. Ohio State just ended up the more fortunate party.

pushed around?

when?

specific examples

was scoring 48 on Georgia OSU getting pushed around?

lol come on man.

They got waxed by Bama and that was us being outgunned and the defensive scheme being ridiculous.

Michigan drilled them once.

2 games out of like 70

Day has the highest winning percentage against top 25 teams among all active HCs and there are people that want him fired. It's so stupid.

Doesn't he have only 6 losses in his career? My one friend is a huge buckeye fan and he's on Day's ass all the time. I don't get it.

There is a certain percentage of the OSU fanbase that is never satisfied. I call it SFS. Spoiled Fan Syndrome.

Most of them weren't around for the 80's and 90's and have no idea what losing is nor how to handle it.

Losses are going to happen but his predictable bad play calling seems like it’s not going away ever. He really needs to give it up but I don’t think he ever is.

This topic all comes down to Michigan. They have owned the LOS vs OSU the last 2 years. I would bet there are a lot of fans that aren’t in love with OSU’s style under Day. They have been more Big 12, than Big 10

They will say the defense isn’t his fault but he’s the head coach. Any failures ultimately are on him.

They continue to keep doing things that clearly don’t work. You are not a good coach if you keep doing things that don’t work expecting them to just eventually work. At a point you have to adjust.

if they don't work how does he only have 6 losses

This is going to be a big year for him, no question. Though it was ugly, Saturday was a big hurdle. We still obviously have some things to clean up on offense, but finally it would appear the defense won't be a total liability. That said, like mentioned above, so many OSU fans are just spoiled. Our last two HCs won NCs within their first three seasons so Day gets ripped. We have the talent to, and damn near did last year, so I think we're way closer than other OSU fans think.

In 2021, the week before the michigan game, we absolutely murdered an 11-2 Michigan State team, who previously beat michigan and finished top 10.

Damn, Ryan Day practically challenged Lou Holtz to an MMA fight after that game.

Winning a college title is not some easy task. Before that improbable 02 title (that team was absurdly lucky) We had gone 30 plus years.

I'd go even further and say that the 02 and 14 teams didn't have anywhere near the best offenses of the past 25 years.. They were led by the defenses

I'd obviously agree about the 02 team being led by the defense. That is one of the best defenses this century with what they did to Miami that night. They were absolutely nasty.

I'd hard disagree about 2014. They were 5th in PPG and 9th in total offense. They had one game all season where they didn't score at least 31 points (PSU was OT, but still), and they played 15 games.

Happy for the win, but my reaction after the game is I'm not sure either team is actually any good.
