I've cut my own hair every 10 days or so for near a decade with one of these Conair things. There are 4 length settings. I've found setting 2 to work best for my bean.

Just put a towel down on the bathroom floor to catch the trimmings, take it outside shake it, and toss it in the laundry basket.
You get another implement to trim around your ears and crop the back of your neck.

I'm on my 2nd one now for 3 years or so.

Hellish week with major project due today. But, after three days of working 8a-9p or so, it’s in range today.

Then a four day weekend awaits. So close.

my aunt still has one from the 90's in it's original box...I need to see if I can get it next time I am in NJ

I have zero patience. At 51 years of age, I ain’t developing any now. I like that I can just get the trimmers on a Saturday morning and get my hair cut then and there.
