Is this the thread where you sacrifice a chicken in order for both head coaches to suffer a flesh eating disease during a live broadcast?

Yep. Spurrier wanted to make UNC-USC an annual game at a neutral site, just like Georgia-Florida. They did play a couple of times in Charlotte while he was coaching in Columbia, but there really wasn't the appetite for it that he expected. He didn't grasp the full history of South Carolina with the ACC teams.

Was Spurrier the best coach they have ever had?

Well, he did, but there's a ceiling at a place like South Carolina. He had them winning 11 games a season but still couldn't win the SEC
