Football went pretty good last night. We somehow ended up with the same boys from our baseball team, so we were able to hit the ground running. Glad I have a co-coach this year. He played football, so he has a much better base of knowledge of drills to run. I was always trying to search something out last year when I had to do it alone. It's 7-9 year olds and we have all 7 year olds, so it is possible we could get steamrolled. But I'm excited about the challenge.

one of soccer teams I coached I was on younger side and my team was smaller than just about every other team. When we played on smaller fields we did ok, but we got assigned the larger fields eeek.

For Kindergarten, my biggest thing was about the socialization. So I'm glad Deuce got a good chunk of the year in. I personally am not equipped to have done an entire year of homeschooling with him not having been in class yet. I feel more prepared this year if it goes that way now that he has a base knowledge of how school is supposed to work. I commend anyone that is able to pull it off. Godspeed.
We're hoping to be able to handle the socialization piece through extracurriculars. The next door neighbors have a kid that's a couple years older than Ham who she plays with sometimes too, so I'm not overly concerned about it. Homeschooling will be a challenge, but the expectation isn't that it's like a full school day. I think they expected about 1.5-2 hours of homeschool a day for kindergarten.

Did you play a log of soccer in your youts?

Bota Box, you heathens.
Yeah, you know I had that once? Maybe we got a bad one, because it sucked from the get-go. I feel like I've had cheaper &/or better boxed wines but don't ask me to recite their names.

Our crisis learning last fall was about 2.5-3 hours, but it sounds like our digital days are supposed to be about 5.5-6 hours. A little shorter than our regular days, but only about 30 minutes or so.

I played grade school-high school.

and by HS, I mean just age, I wasn't good enough for the HS team. I'm sure you're all shocked, I wasn't the worlds greatest athlete.

Good morning good people. Help me Laura, help, help me Laura, help me get her out of the.............

My daughter and her family were going to Galveston this weekend, but that's cancelled. So their planning it for Labor Day Weekend. Hopefully the damage will not be too bad.

I think we have a football game this Saturday, but I can't remember who's playing. Maybe one FBS team is involved. Nope, I just looked. Austin Peay and Central Arkansas. The level of excitement has just reached 1/2 out of 10. Oy.

Just finished washing everything. The cat yacked all over the bed last night and on my Annette Funicello night shirt. All clean now.

Thought for the day: I wonder about some of our posters. How do they comb their hair so that the horns don't show?
