Aaron Rodgers trade rumors

Yeah, but there's also a break-even point, where even having a top-5 QB can't win in all situations. When the team is on the losing side of a lot of 27-24 games, the discussion shouldn't be around all the wonderful things Rodgers did and didn't do, but about why the secondary is so sucky and why the LBs can't tackle anyone.

But I don't have the magic crystal ball that Gutekunst does, so what do I know.

Valid points. All I can say is that I prefer keeping Rodgers and hoping the rest of the guys can contribute to wins over dumping Rodgers for a bunch of development projects that will likely result in a run of losing seasons.

I'm not so sure Gutey has a crystal ball either; he's most likely closing his eyes and plunging into a pool filled with thumb tacks and hoping he doesn't bleed out from the dive - just like us fans are right now. ...Just hope for the best.

Certain teams draft better than others. The Packers are blessed with being better at it than others, at least.

Agreed.

The real issue with the Packers last year was their league worst special teams unit.
Yeah, it always seems to be some different angle that kills the Packers in the playoffs... whether it be letting Fitzgerald go 80 yards in OT... Bostick botching an onside kick... can't contain Kaepernick's running... blocked punt for a TD...

...it takes 53 on the field and dozens of coaches, trainers and admins to win in the NFL. Having a HOF QB makes a big difference in getting to the playoffs consistently, but you need a complete team in sync and a healthy dose of good fortune to win a Lombardi. I'm of the mindset that I'll take the HOF QB to get us there and a hope of some good fortune in the playoffs over the alternative of a likely-painful franchise rebuild.

did that loser seriously end his tweet w/ a heart emoji?

AR is coming to Tampa Bay. Anyone who can do so ends-up on the West Coast of FL.

I saw on TV an interview where he was stating. "its not about the money" :laugh3:

then gets signed as the most expensive player in history LOL
& says. Ok I'll stay.

I was laughing my ass off when I watched that.

The 4 year $200 million contract has not been verified.

Aaron Rodgers will receive $150.8 million over the next three seasons.

Rodgers' deal reportedly saves the Packers around $18 million in cap space. When Rodgers well-actually'd early reports of his new deal with the Packers, apparently he meant he would get $50 million a year for the next three seasons instead of $200 million spread over four seasons. Rodgers, 38, will likely retire at the end of those three years. If he's not ready to hang it up, his contract includes two ghost years that would presumably keep him in Green Bay, but would require a redone deal.

A good contract for Rodgers and $18 million in cap space for the Packers. A win, win, situation.

Ya that is a lot of cap space. Wonder if they go all in Rams style and trade picks for players.

The word here is that they are looking to acquire more draft picks. If they can't come to terms with Adams they could trade him for a high pick but it seems they are more inclined to get a deal done with him.

Adams may not like it but I can’t see him giving up $20 million and not playing.

I believe the Packers will get a contract done with Adams. He's easily the best wide receiver in the NFL and is only 29.
