also the culture that currently exists where announcers make excuses for the coach and throw the players under the bus needs to end. the color commentator (who is actually Coach K's SIL) in the Wake/Louisville game last night kept making excuses for Kenny Payne and said that Louisville's players lacked talent. its fine to say that "well, Louisville is still rebuilding and its going to take some time) but to say that players are on the court can't play is crossing a line tbh.

and when the team is 2-13 (now 2-14) then it is 100% on the coach. commentators have become a glorified PR agency for shitty coaches.
 




and it doesn't help that Kenny Payne is a total pussy that is trying to deflect blame

If the goal is to get high seeds in the tournament, I agree, but NC State is putting together a nice resume thus far, would really be a boost for them. The league is pretty muddied from a tournament perspective. Teams like Clemson, Pitt and Cuse did horrible OOC(Cuse basically has no chance to get an at-large) but all are performing well in ACC play. It'll be pretty fascinating to see how it plays out.
 
State and Miami look like two good teams tbh

three of Syracuse's ACC wins are against three of the worst teams in the conference. their other conference win is against a VT team that has been struggling without one of their key players. Cuse doesn't belong in the same category as Pitt and Clemson right now

Yeah, they have beaten up on the bottom of the league for the most part, but they were so bad OOC, even with the weak schedule to start, I didn't think they'd be 4-2.
 
This has been an incredible game.
 
Fuck NCST but selfishly wanted to see them win. If Clemson beats Duke (doubtful) they’d have a 2 game lead in conference. And no way they ever blow that.
