I don't believe its a reach to say that he got a FF with Roy's recruits so I'm all for Chapel Hill to retain Hoobert.

Man. McNeely is having a career game. This might be too much to overcome unless you can beat Duke somehow. UVA is playing better as of late, but didn't expect this.

It's over. If Deacs do have a top 25 NIL then they need to fire Forbes and see what Chris Mack wants.

He was outclassed by Ron Sanchez tonight.

Damn. Yeah that would be a hell of a hire. What about Ryan Odom? He has the connection with his dad. And he's been good everywhere.

Gotta think he's UVA bound. Odom also has a long connection with UVA. And without knowing their NIL situation, UVa is a better job.

Mack was an asst at Wake under Skip Prosser and has mentioned numerous times that he loved living in Winston. Even tho his Louisville tenure would make me a tad nervous

Yeah UVA would make sense for Odom as well.

I thought Mack was at Wake at one point. The whole UL thing was weird. He took over a dumpster fire, had them in the tournament in year 1, would have been a 3/4 seed in 2020, and then just barely missed in 2021, with that wonky schedule. There was also that whole thing with Dino Gaudio that was super weird too. His track record is so good, he'd be a HR hire IMO.

Mack's downfall at Louisville happened so fast, too. i think we were all preoccupied with COVID to notice that he was on the hot seat. and once we noticed it..he was gone. and i completely forgot about the Dino fiasco, lmao. when that happened, pretty sure i said "if it wasn't for Skip Prosser and Dino Gaudio, Mack would be cleaning toilets somewhere in Cincinnati"

fwiw, just so we're clear, Wake isn't firing Forbes after this year. i do think there's a chance he retires. wife suffered a stroke last year + this post from last year:

Perfect mid major coach. Great at evaluating talent, good at developing it but horrible in game coaching. Also may have the worst strength and conditioning program in the country. Has lost 2-3 rotational players each year due to injury.

Being a bubble team once sucks. It's god damn insufferable annually.
