ACC Basketball

i'm going to the Wake Forest/Winston-Salem State exhibition game tonight

i hope the Deacs open a can of whoopass on the fightin' Stephen A Smith's

My freshman year at Oregon, Winston Salem State played Oregon. It was the first Oregon basketball game I ever went to. Back in old Mac Court. Felt really random for them to come across the country to play Oregon given all the local teams they could play.

Yeah, when I was in HS they tried moving up to D1. It didn't work out too well and they quickly moved back down to D2.

I never realized they moved back down. Probably for the best

When Big House Gaines was coaching there they had some players. You need to google the likes of Earl The Pearl Monroe, Cleo Hill, Carlos Terry- died in a car crash at age 32, Jim Reid, Heywoode Workman, Spider Bennett, and Earl Williams, who all I believe that were drafted in the NBA.

Cleo Hill is the HC there now

That's his son coaching now. Cleo Hill Sr. died in 2015. He was blackballed by the NBA since he was a Black player coming from a HBCU school. He was drafted by the St. Louis Hawks. Cleo Hill Jr played at NC Central.

oh, woops

any way, the DEACS won big time tonight

88-56, the WSSU section was loud + annoying

Furman/UL headed to OT

Wofford/Clemson in a close game at the under 4:00. Could be a huge night for the So Con.

Lol at Chris Mack.

Clemson closes it out over a solid Wofford team v

Wake looked pretty shitty tonight

UNC gives up a 50 spot to Brown in the 1st half. Not ideal.

Hubert was a risky hire. I'm pretty interested to see how he does

Yeah, agree on both. His 2022 class leaves alot to be desired, given it's UNC. Not one top 30 player.

wow, had no idea

i don't really follow cbb recruiting anymore, but the UNC fans on r/collegebasketball have made Davis out to be some ace recruiter

He has a top 10 class at the moment, but it's 4 kids in the class. #33, #40, #82 and #142 are where the kids are ranked nationally. Good class, but not UNC typical.

i just think its amazing that Hubert Davis was handed one of the top jobs in cbb b/c he played at UNC + was one of Roy's assistants for less than ten years. Steve Robinson was UNC's top assistant under Roy.

Also, think it is really weird that UNC pretty much thanked Robinson for 18 great years of service and let him go.

gonna be honest

i think the ACC is going to be dogshit again
