All tackles lead with the head

Except that's not what's happening, idiot.
Same form tackle.
But runner ducks and heads clank. Targeting.
If not ducking, then hero.

Why? Because as shown in the HUNDREDS of pics in this thread alone, every. Fucking. Tackle. Leads. With. The. Head.

Including the hero fumble forcing tackle we are discussing now.

God you’re too dumb to remember to breathe.

You have a mental disorder.

That wouldn't have been forcible contact with the helmet even if the runner had ducked low. The Stanford defender went low for a leg tackle and got lucky but there was hardly any power behind his tackle

tejan can't differentiate the criteria to be considered targeting.

He/She thinks every tackle meets the criteria because.......

"There's a head, and it's in a helmet".

Omg! Why didn’t they kick him outta the game!!!!!????

Y’all still support this fucking stupid rule.

And now a ksu defender got ejected from the game. But he kept his head up. Which is what y’all say to do. But that means he is going high. Which is the exact opposite of what one wants.
This Fucking rule is stupid. And y’all keep supporting it.

Kept his head up like the rule says and like you guys call for.
Result:
flag

This rule is an embarrassment and y’all’s support for it is laughable.

Gee which criteria of targeting does that fall under?

1) Launching?
Doesn't appear to be.

2) Defenseless player?
Can't tell from a still.

3) Crown of the helmet?
Ding, Ding, Ding, we have a clear winner, Johnny.

His head was Up and still Can get dinged for crown. Thanks for proving my point, dipshit.

This fucking rule is stupid. There is literally nothing a defenseman can do to avoid this penalty

Yet I see players avoid it every single game at every level

No. They don’t. They just don’t *happen* to have heads clank.
Everytime they do, whether they go low for a safe form tackle, whether they keep head up, they get the penalty.
Every. Time.
Go low: expose crown.
Keep eyes up: that’s high and dangerous and head to head level.
Keep eyes up, and y’all still argue crown of helmet: twice in this thread now.
Hell, you can go low, avoid helmets clanking, and STILL get the penalty.

Literally nothing a defenseman can do to avoid this ridiculous rule and penalty.

Not targeting? Cuz reasons? Lmao. The rule and prosecution of this rule is laughable.

Even though it’s been called targeting every time before, now you can go high at the head of a receiver who is spinning after just catching the ball and being tackled by another defender, snap his head back so hard that both you and he are both apparently knocked out… and THAT is NOT targeting now. Lol. Ok.
This rule and your support for it over the years are both laughable.

CSU player “keeps his eyes up”
He doesn’t “Expose his crown”
He doesn’t “take extra steps.”
He wraps up and “doesn’t launch himself”.

Guess what? Targeting and ejected.

Lmao. Y’all are fucking dunces for supporting this idiotic rule.
And the goddamn commentators desperately doing mental gymnastics in support of this ejection is assanine.

Fucking. Laughable.

1. The rule is poorly understood and enforced. It needs to be refined.
2. No, not every tackle "leads with the head".

#1 and #2 are not in conflict, except in feeble minds.

So now, you don’t put your head down and expose the crown of your helmet… like is asked of you.
You lead with the shoulder. You even pretty much give a firearm shiver.
And you still get ejected.

I guess you’re now SUPPOSED to get lower and expose the crown of your helmet and hope the ball carrier doesn’t also lower his level,????

Or????

Whoever supports this obviously laughable rule is a giddamn joke of a human.

Looked clean to me. Questionable call.
