Amber Alerts on phones

They’ve always included a color on mine, but it’s always something like “Older green Honda Accord”. Real helpful info there
How many older green Honda Accords do you see on the road? I'd say that IS pretty helpful.

It’s pretty well every teenager’s first car and a lot of people have them as their cheap daily driver. Really common

I don't agree with this generalization

but whatever, I've already written you off.

Ticks me off when you have a program on and this LOUD alert comes on for some alert from state away.

Christ, let me jump in my car and go check the interstates.
I feel like it's some kind of Purge signal when I'm in a public place and everyone's phones start buzzing, ringing, chiming and everyone starts looking at their phones at the same time.
FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!
:bolt:
Then I check mine and try to remember to keep an eye out for that silver honda when I get back on the road, but I usually forget about it by the time i'm back in the car :ohwell:

I was tempted to make the 250 mile drive to go searching, but then realized it was a 250 mile drive and hit "clear" on the message.

I guess there is one thing I’ll miss. If the description is ever for a silver F-150, I won’t know to drive my old black F-250 that day

You really don't understand search radius, do you?

Not gonna lie, call me a weeny or whatever, but every time I get one of those I say a mini prayer that the kid is safe.
I am an incredible softy when it comes to bad things happening to children.

Last year a local story broke on Dec 23 of a mom and dad dropping their 6yo boy off in a cemetery and taking off with the boy running after the car crying. Someone had witnessed it. The kid was safe with the police, but I really had a hard time pushing it out of my head. Really put a damper on my old Christmas spirit.

I kept checking the story and later than night learned that the father had contacted the police and confessed. I assume the kid's situation wasn't/isn't great, but at that point I was at least able to set it aside and enjoy my family.

Granted, I don't know the situation, but there'd have to be some pretty wild circumstances for me to not say mother fuck those parents right in the face. IN THE FACE!
