to a degree they are, sure. but, we all know the truth about pits: it's their unpredictable nature combined with their tenacity/power/size that makes them dangerous, and unfit for civilized society. it's a gamble, a lottery, that isn't worth the cost if things go sideways.

I think 100% they are.

and they are taking the risk at owning them...and you should mind your own business.

if you are going to apply your reasoning to this, then it can be applied to so many other things.
 
I would never own a pit. I think they're dumb as fuck. Spastic and eradic in behavior, hard headed and hard to train. 1 out of every 10 pits I've been around are worth a shit.

I don't think they should be banned, but I don't like the breed at all.

I saw a Staffordshire terrier this weekend who was a little tank but an awesome dog and sweet as can be. I'd get one of them.

does this dog fit into the pit category?

what about the countless pits that have attacked people over the decades, which were, in fact, trained? and likely trained quite well? maybe it's time to admit that despite our best attempts to train them, their inherent instinct to snap and go ballistic is something beyond even the best training available. hmm?

My feelings as well. I made that decision for me and my household. I would not make it for someone else.

Seems kinda unfair to me. One breed of shark is allowed, but the other isn't. I don't understand why. They're all just sharks.
