the $9.95ers on UT side have been feeding us that he or his braintrust have no issues taking a redshirt season. They are looking to stay for 4 years...

I am curious ... you seem to have a lot of disdain for the "$9.95ers" as you refer to them. These are board staff who have contacts within the programs, with other players, with high school coaches, and who have been doing this for 20+ years in most instances. Rivals, at least, is not paid by clicks so they have no reason to troll their paying audience. UGASports/Rivals also has a half dozen people who are definitely "insiders" who bring insider info and are most often right in what they bring.

While I have a few insider connections of my own, they are sporadic and nothing like what the staff and Insiders have. My info is almost always accidental, dependent on me being with the right people at the right time, and that doesn't happen often.

Do you have better resources and contacts than them? I'm curious.

i refer to all the paysites as $9.95ers.. lol I don't get your love for rivals like that.. it's not click based, it's sub base and they have to tease things out for people to sub to them.. just like the other 2 paysites.

For UT the insiders are Gerry Hamilton (IT/On3, formerly of ESPN), Chip Brown (247) and their rivals site really isn't on recruiting but they have sources inside the building when it comes to team news. But they were saying they believe Jontay Cooks and Arch commit to UT this month.. they seem bullish on it

He is also saying Arch likes us.. his grandpa like Bama, but he has family that think he should go to UGA. But at the end of the day he believes Arch comes to UT

My "love" for Rivals is simply (1) their insider info is simply way better - I mean they have a former UGA football coach on their staff, and (2) they have way more staff - I think around 12 the last I counted. So their info and materials are just way better and more comprehensive than everyone else.

FWIW, it seems both sets of insiders like their home teams. One is going to have egg on their faces. It's really funny ... our guys are saying that Archie doesn't like Bama, but agrees the family leans UGA.

Sure they have to tease, but they can't troll for clicks. If you tease and are wrong all the time you lose your subs. They have enough subs and insiders they can provide good inside info without having to make shit up. I mean On3 is just a joke so far.

As someone else pointed out neither Manning won an NC in college. I could see Arch staying in college a 4th year in pursuit of that.

Meh … I don’t care about the National recruiting guys. 247 composite is what matters as it balances out the shit takes they all have. All the services have problems.

He’s trending UGA, so I’m good about it, LOL.

We’d be falling back on a couple other 5* and high 4* guys. Our QB room looks fine without him. Truth be told, I want Arch as much for the other players that he locks in.

FWIW, Ole Miss isn’t in it. The real hurt would be if the midget talks him into being a gump.

One has him top 10 the other not even ranked. Why would you assume it's the top 10 that is wrong? Everyone else has him top 300. Seems that 247 is as much an outlier here as Rivals, not that I am defending Rivals. There are about 5 more re-evaluations between now and Feb 2023 ... from a ranking perspective, we'll have to wait and see. If anything this shows how stupid most of these rankings are. It's why the composite is the best gauge. I'll take as many top 100 players as we can get.

What is more important than being able to pound our chests over where we end up is (1) his offers, and (2) UGA's evals. UGA likes him a lot. They, along with all other coaches, have made it clear they don't follow ranking systems. They have their own boards. Our OL evals are kind of good ... meaning really, really good. And he has offers from every major school in the country.

I don't have the knowledge to know that or not. Why are you all worked up about this guy?

I mean do you expect these evals to be perfect? If so, you are going to be disappointed. Hell, Manning could be overrated as far as we know.

Again, this guy has offers from every top 25 team in the country. Our coaches like him a lot. I'll trust them on their evals.

not getting worked up..just laughable with the evaluators at rivals.. not sure why you think 247 is the outlier here.. ESPN still hasn't done it's update (they are really bad at it, and let's face it, they aren't that great to begin with).
