are there any insurance agents here????

Counselor, you appear drunk at this point.
He’s technically not wrong although typically it would be the claimant’s counsel making this demand and not to his own carrier, but the result would be the same.

I say technically because OP said he was being sued for a sum certain ($35,000). If that is within his policy limit then there is no risk of an excess verdict and there’s no incentive for the carrier to acquiesce to a policy limit demand.

Depending on the coverage and whether one has an umbrella would be all that mattered.

Maybe don’t drive stoned next time.

Personally I renew with existing company and let this ride for awhile and you can switch companies at any point.

How much money are you talking about saving? Because the amount vs risk matters.

only 300 every six months.

I ride high with liability limits incase shit like this happens so insurance wise, I don't have to worry about a thing since the lawsuit is less than my liability.

Personally I let this get settled then change.

I do... Although the Chevelle was a better "looking" car that year.
I like the 72 Chevelle SS, but I was a big fan of the GM "personal luxury" cars when I was a youngster. Monte Carlo, Gran Prix, Skylark Custom and early Rivieras were my faves.

All of those cars bring back great childhood memories. Loved all of the cars from the mid 50's to the mid 70's!!!
