ATM's next 7 games ... can Dumbo survive?

What aggy did was bold but if you have a mix of players who come more for the dough.. you need a ringmaster HC that can balance those personalities and mesh with the current team. He seems to have divided them..
And let's not forget the mess Dumbo made at FSU. The whole Winston debacle and he left the program in shambles. It's not like he has this reputation of running a tight ship and developing a great culture ... it's the opposite. None of this is in any way surprising.

yeah he left them with like the lowest APR or whatever grade system they use , in FBS. They got deducted scholarships for it.. and he left the OL cupboard empty

Nope, aggies went and hired an offensive juggernaut in Jimbo. And got him for a bargain basement price. My aggie neighbor told me so.

But he’s a little testy when I ask him how that is going.

Is this the worst coaching contract in football history?
Come on -- you are in Michigan and you ask if Jimbo Fisher has the worst contract? We have it here in Michigan at MSU. Kenneth Walker got Mel Tucker a $95 million gift after hitting the lottery in the Portal.

Charlie Weis got a pretty big extension at Notre Dame in 2005. It made him the highest paid coach at the time.

That's pretty bad.

Though it was only 40 million.

Not as much as Mel Tucker or Jimbo but still bad considering the outcome.

imagine if program killer Dumbo ever got to lead a conference killer like Tejas....

that could bring down the whole $EC

lol if you ever think UT would hire a coach like Jimbo.. In case y'all haven't noticed.. we don't get into bidding wars for coaches.. hell most of y'all probably pay more for your HC than my Longhorns do

Edit: BTW we would just leave the SEC to go to the BiG like our red machine friends in the midwest :)

You may want to get in those bidding wars for a coach. Going the thrifty route hasn't really been working for you.

seems like the money whipping hasn't worked out either..

Yeah, but he's at least probably coaching at MSU another couple years -- for better or worse to that program. A&M might fire him this year and literally pay him $90 million to do nothing.
