B12 Thread

AZ with a nice eastern sweep. Taking the Mounties to town tonight.

I know MM is out but holy shit if Curtis Jones didn't have the half of his life ISU would be lucky to be leading this game right now

They have no joke 10 unforced TOs. Like zero pressure. Just losing the ball or throwing it away. Missed dunks. Over and over

WVU with a solid win over Iowa State. Starting to think this team may have a chance to make the tournament.

Texas Tech with a nice win at home vs Zona.

Good win for your couch burners. If Texas Tech hadn’t gone brain dead last Saturday the Clones would have two Big 12 losses. Still think it is ISU’s to lose.

They should get in pretty easily if they don't collapse down the stretch.

That’s what I’m worried about. Hell Tuesday vs a not too good ASU scares me. Also the lack of depth due to injuries is going to rear its ugly head soon.

DeVries is good though. Really good. The fact you've won these games without his son playing is ridiculous, because Tucker is a stud. Even coming back down to earth some bc of the injuries 8-6 and you're a lock no matter what happens in the B12 tournament. 7-7 might even be enough.

No doubt, they should give him an extension now considering what he’s done and how Iowa (a rumored dream job) could open after this year or next. But the injuries plus lack of depth concern me. Time will tell I suppose.

Side note, Gonzaga is turning into a not so great win. Think that will remain a Quad 1 win at seasons end?

Yeah, Gonzaga will remain a Q1 win. They'd have to fall outside the top 50, and last I checked they were still 18th, even after the loss last night. Might fall outside Q1A, but I'd be stunned if was a Q2 win. But the ISU and Kansas wins will be high end win Q1A wins all season. It's good to have those in your back pocket for the remainder of the year. Even the AZ win will probably age better too. And the Louisville loss will only look better and better too, I'd imagine.

Who will make it back to the NCAAT first:

UNCG or Wes Miller

The people are asking questions

Wes is gonna find himself on the hot seat where pretty soon, if not already.

I went to the TCU/Kansas game last night. From what I saw, this may be one of Self's weakest teams.

That said, Kansas will still probably finish toward the top of the conference because it looks to be weaker than normal.

The sooner Kansas is rid of Dickinson, the better off they’ll be imo.

They definitely played better when he was on the bench. And they were without KJ Adams so there's that.

KJ Adams was my most favorite player New Year's Eve.

Houston score 6 points in last 8 seconds vs Kansas to force double OT

This K State team is an all star team of castoffs.

This would be a big loss for Iowa St

ISU still has high upside especially when Milletic gets back

But they have absolutely no chance to win a title if they are gonna keep having games with zero interest in controlling the ball or rebounding.

The good news is neither are every game weaknesses. But man, they have some games where they look like a bottom 5 team in the country at ball security

Bobby Hurley is still a giant douchebag. During the postgame presser, he complained about the "constant relentless chatter" coming from UA players during the game. He essentially blamed his tantrum on trash talk during a rivalry game.
