B12 Thread

I don't think that's correct. KU is the 2 seed which means they will most likely play whoever finishes 7th. Which will be a ranked team.
NVM you are right. I misread last years bracket.

Baylor gets that draw. Good catch.

That was funny as hell.

Good game. You guys have a really good team.

That's been a bit of a frustration for our fan base. Obviously Cade is all world but take him away and we still have a bunch of freshmen and sophomores that were 4* guys. The last half of the season its really started to click for a couple of guys (especially Boone). Andersons performance today was completely unexpected though. Next year we will have a bunch of talent but someone needs to step up and be the guy. My money was on it being the Walker and MAM show for a couple of years but if Anderson turns into a guy that can drop 30 a game, then that's another great scoring option.

I watched Anderson play in the regional tournament his four years in high school. While he had/has the ability to do just that, I felt like he needed to get physically stronger. It looks like he's gotten a little stronger but he still needs some more. If he had Likekele's strength....

Teague had a decent game today

For who ever is listening you’ll call me crazy but I’m hoping Texas beats TCU so we face Junior (ok st) again. We beat TT twice and only ok st once. It’s hella harder to beat a team 3 times then 2. we were lucky to win any but I’d rather we play junior again then TT.

From the lowest point a program could be in 2003 when Baylor had one player murder another one to this 18 years later.

Last Sweet 16 Appearance:

Texas Tech - 2019
West Virginia - 2018
Kansas - 2018
Kansas State - 2018
Baylor - 2017
Oklahoma - 2016
Iowa State - 2016
Texas - 2008
Oklahoma State - 2005
TCU - 1968

still can't believe that okie light got hosed with it's seeding. I think UT gets to the Sweet 16 pretty easily and I think they have a terrific shot at getting into the elite 8 as well.

It was because of metrics and they are a bunch of bullshit. Basically we had close games against bad teams earlier in the year, are turnover prone (mostly due to style of play but style of play overcomes it), and had a couple of "bad" losses because Jamie Dixon is an excellent coach. Based on NET metrics we should be a 7 seed but we literally beat everyone and have a winning record against every team that got a 3. The committee put more emphasis on that than actual results. What really grinds my gears is that winning the conference tourney wouldn't have mattered. We thought we were a 3 seed playing for maybe a 2 but in the eyes of the committee we were a 5 seed before the Baylor game.

But what's done is done. Instead of layup and likely round of 32 win we get to face a team we beat 9 times out of 10 but has the potential to go 18-25 from 3 and pull an upset. After that we likely get a team that's a bad match up and our reward after that is Illinois. I say bring it.

Kansas State tied with Florida A&M at the under 16:00. Does KSU fire Weber if they lose? Florida A&M is 284 in KenPom.

Mountaineers don’t look like a Huggs team.

Except free throws. They still suck at that. FML
