GAME Bedlam 2021: #10 OU (10-1) @ #7 OKST (10-1) | 6:30CT | ABC

I’d take Georgia, Alabama, Cincy and Michigan over them because I think all are better than them. B12 has been weak this year. I say this knowing that GA and Bama play each other.
Why is b12 weak? Because polls? UGA has beaten no one. NO ONE. sec is way overrated. Per usual.

Let’s be honest here. GA/Alabama is the national championship game. Michigan and Ohio State are the next best teams. Okie Lite, Cincy, Baylor, ND, Oregon, etc are a tier below.
Fucking (6-5) auburn just had to dump brains to lose to Bama. And uga has beaten NO ONE. Stfu with your sec sycophancy.

It's debatable either way. I've never been to either city, but I've been told that neither location is desirable for anything other than football.
I dont know man Norman is beautiful and Baton Rouge is kind of a shit hole. Plus OKC is only 20 minutes away for anything you want to do.

Too tired to post last night. Congrats Cowboys! A muffed punt at the 5 and a kickoff return for a td plus 100 penalties killed OU.

If that's the case give Georgia the crown now because Bama isn't anything special this year.

Mike Gundy gonna be spittin' mad if they beat Baylor and dont get in. Madder than when he was 40!

1 loss P5 champion. And it means some sort of bullshit like 2 loss Bama gets in. The same Bama that got in on some bullshit a decade ago when we had our one shot. Because eye test or i.e. you guys don't belong. And in the same year we got shown putting hundreds of millions into the football program means shit because other teams won nattys in the 50's and that matters right now. Damn straight he should be pissed.

He'll just have to get over it. Briles was that way in 2014 when your Buckeye's leapfrogged them and TCU to get in. He pouted and spewed shit for weeks about unfair, blah, blah, blah. Couldn't forget it and then forgot to coach his team and then lost to Sparty. Patterson wasn't happy either but he wasn't nearly as yappy as Briles. TCU put the snub behind them and went out and kicked the ever loving shit out of a highly touted/overranked Ole Miss team that had beaten Bama earlier.

Players will follow the coaches demeanor IMO.

Okie State and LSU both got screwed that year by Alabama. Alabama probably shouldn't have gone.

I hear you Cowboy and I agree with you. But the ONLY way that is going to change is with an expanded playoff...and even then those teams you describe will get the same name recognition benefit for the 11th adn 12th spot.

No one will ever convince me that the committee would have leapfrogged Ohio State over Texas and Oklahoma in 2014 like they did TCU and Baylor. It was very convenient and easy for them to do it with TCU and Baylor. They didn't have the cache, fan base, alumni, etc to offer any resistance.

And it would be the same if we were still using polls instead of a committee. Auburn got snubbed in 2004.

Take the playoffs to 12. So what if a 9-3 P5 team or an 11-1 G5 team gets in. If they ain't worthy, they get their ass handed to them in the first round of the playoffs. At least they lost it on the field instead of getting the shaft for not being one of those teams that "won nattys in the 50s and that matters right now".

This is so fucking awesome.

I don't think y'all understand how this feels for me. The last time we won this one I wasn't even a member of the other board yet. We had a couple of close calls recently but I was so sick and tired of it. Mason Rudolph and James Washington beat everyone on the schedule for 3 years but ran into back to back Heisman winners for those assholes. 2013 the refs completely fucked us. Gilbert had an interception late and the refs fucked us saying he dropped it. The year before we beat the shit out of them the entire game before Blake fucking Bell turned into Tom Fucking Brady in the 4th quarter. This year on paper it should have been over at half. Freshman QB vs this defense and our offense is better than their defense. Any other name on the helmet and it's 24-3 at half and the score is closer than the game. But these fucks, man we just have this 100 year old mental block. We fucked up going into half. We were about to take control of the game and then there was a turnover and it was tied at half. The first 5 minutes of the 2nd half were typical. Got a stop but they pinned us. Then the refs ate their whistle on a obvious offsides that led to a safety. Fucking bullshit but the refs usually love ou so I'm used to it. Then we get a stop and pull the ultimate poke choke on the return. It goes from us being up 7 to down 9 in 3 series. 16 points and at that point I figured we would get 14 back and watch them end it with a game killing drive late. Normal for us. We keep it close but something that would be a moral victory 30 years ago but bullshit now.

The thing is, during that clusterfuck we got two stops. Then we got another and did the same the rest of the game. The refs call an obvious offsides and Pressly let's the ball go and we don't allow a point in the 2nd half. Hell Sanders tucks the ball and runs when he had a free first down instead of making a stupid pass into double coverage and this is a 20 point statement game instead of a 4 point barn burner. Ifs and nuts and again, if it's anyone else than ou this game isn't close, but fuck we have had so many shitty games against them.

The only people who know how this feels for me right now are Michigan fans. But they had their way against Ohio State 15 years ago so not really. Imagine going through what Michigan fans have gone through the last decade, only instead of a decade its been a century. I'm a man I'm 41. In my lifetime I've experienced this win 8 times. And that's almost half the wins that my team has seen in 120 years.

This is so fucking sweet.

How about that 2nd half defense. Typical Bedlam but they were under 100 yards in the 2nd half until Williams busted the prevent run late. O offense 2nd half points. They looked like shit in the first half but adjusted and shut them down.
The 2nd half they were better, but I think it is safe to say -- Okie State's D is nowhere near Georgia.

Alabama beating Georgia is the worse scenario for Oklahoma State. Alabama will be in as a Conference Champion with wins over Georgia and Ole Miss.

Georgia won't get left out either though at 12-1. Georgia has wins over 9-3 Clemson and 9-3 Kentucky.

If Georgia wins, Oklahoma State is in (given that Oklahoma State bests Baylor which isn't a lock by any means).

Unfortunately, it has more to do with fans than past titles. Minnesota would be in the same boat even though they have titles from 1950s. Hell, Army won alot in the 1940s.

Okie State and LSU both got screwed that year by Alabama. Alabama probably shouldn't have gone.

If the CFP were alive then the debate would have been Bama vs Stanford as a 3 or 4. But eye test.

I am guessing the eye test happens again this year but no one is beating Georgia so I'm not pissed when it happens. In 2011 I was upset because LSU sucked in the title game. No one was beating Bama that night but a dozen teams would have beaten LSU and we were the most deserving. At the end of the day though if someone had told me in September we would fuckbeat ou, win the conference, Fiesta Bowl, and finish the year no. 3 I would have been really happy. Same thing this year. Outside of a half dozen teams the playoffs are a fantasy. But in September if you told me we'd be 11-1 and playing for what we are now I would have been on the moon. So if we get fucked by a 2 loss Ohio State it is what it is.

not this week, but when/if they beat Baylor next Sat? Yes.
I dunno ... that Iowa St loss for Okie Lite sure looks worse than an ND loss to Cincy (a real potential CFP participant).

Y'all can prove you belong in your CCG. Oh wait...yeah.

Let's be honest. If you guys get in over is or Cincy it's because of the helmet and not the results on the field.

The good 'ol "conference" argument ... again? :sigh: How convenient.

This isn't about ND, so much, getting in over Cincy as it is with Pokes leap frogging ND.

Okie Lite's only loss is to a mediocre ISU team. Okie St sure wasn't lighting any fires early in the season, too.

Both ND/OSU will have one loss, IF the Pokes beat Baylor next week. I'm sure the committee will not take that ISU loss very lightly when they'll have to decide.
