I think this one is very close. Great move by B1G to compete with SEC's OU and Texas pickup.

When it comes to potential success on the field, I would say the OU and Texas pickup.

When it comes to media markets and $$$, I would say USC and UCLA although Texas is the biggest $$$ maker.

What is everyone else's thoughts?

Yeah I guess I could do a poll, I wanted to hear more discussion but great point.

LA market has been secured, I’d go BIG and I think the tv deal will prove that to be true unless the SEC nabs Notre Dame and maybe Miami and that market

Fully agree with this assessment.

Possibly, I still think FSU is better than Miami because FSU actually has a dedicated fan following. However, SEC may just grab both along with Clemson and North Carolina or Virginia Tech

I’m just talkin market, that’s Miami’s biggest attraction when it comes to expansion. BIg may try to get em as well, they have about 85% of the best markets already. It’s a pretty good argument that the SEC should get Miami just for another good market

The Big10 made out better because we didn’t get stuck with Texas. They may not win the conference but they will kill the conference.

Damn, I cannot argue with that one.

I'm older. I liked the 10 team Big 10.
12 is the perfect number for me. Can have a CCG and play an 8 game conference schedule without going a million years without playing some conference members. 12 team conferences, 8 game conference schedules with a mandatory 2 P5 OOC games every year is my very unrealistic wet dream for CFB

I miss the original 12 SEC lineup. I also miss the original Big12. It was a great league to hate and compete against :(.

I get the allure. I like 9 conference games, playing round robin. The CCG is a money grab that can easily be replaced with another round of playoff games.

9 conference games limits good OOC matchups, and big time OOC matchups are the games I get most excited for. Hell, I was pumped about UGA’s future OOC schedule, it had all the big names, but two of them are gonna be conference mates now and super conferences and the alliance are probably gonna put the rest in jeopardy

It is also fun to not always have all of your conference opponents on your schedule because it is exciting sometimes when I finally see an Auburn or LSU on our schedule. I do think the current SEC format is messy because we don't see West opponents very often.

I get that. One of the great points of eliminating CCGs is to give another shot at playing better OOC teams.

Adding A&M and Missouri messed up a good thing IMO. There’s less money with my way, so it’s just a pipe dream, but a better viewing product IMO

The other thing good about round robins is that when you've have played the same teams for 50 years, every game is a rival game.

It is fun to play those teams and was novel but I wish Tennessee had one less Division game and played more SEC West opponents. Why can't we just rotate South Carolina and Missouri in and out every year? Frankly, I feel like the two teams are just the same on our schedule.
