Yeah, and expansion is going to reduce how important playing these games are.
The exact opposite actually

2021 nc champion uga says no not really....Playing these CCG will be more important with more on the line with the 12 team playoff format than what we currently have. 4 of the P5's will be playing for auto byes. Those games are suddenly going to be major.

I was being sarcastic with my original comment.Playing these CCG will be more important with more on the line with the 12 team playoff format than what we currently have. 4 of the P5's will be playing for auto byes. Those games are suddenly going to be major.
I should have used the green font. You are right. But all the traditionalists that want to "preserve the regular season" have claimed games later in the season won't mean as much. I think more games later in the season will mean a lot more. And the outcomes of some in other conferences will impact what is going on in another conference even more than they do now.The exact opposite actually

lol @ championships not going how people thought.
These games shouldn't be played.Yeah, and expansion is going to reduce how important playing these games are.
That format is yet another slap to the G5's isn't it? Going to be very rare for a CC G5 to be ranked higher than 4 of the P5's right? Wouldn't say impossible, but not common.I was being sarcastic with my original comment.
Money grab with conference championshipsThese games shouldn't be played.
TCU 9-0 in conf.
Michigan 9-0 in conf
UGA 8-0 in conf.
Why the fuck should these undefeated teams have to play in a championship game?
Just more proof how fucking retarded split conferences are and how fucked up college football has become.
Anyway enjoy the 1st round games, Mich/Oh.St. and UGA/bama
I hope you are right, but with the cfpc, I wouldn't put it passed the to take bama over TCUAm I the only who wants to see TCU lose only to watch the Bama fan base get their hopes up, only to finish 5th and on the outside looking in still.
I will agree it is BS to penalize a team for playing in a championship game and handing their spot to a team sitting at home, because they didn’t qualify for a championship gameThese games shouldn't be played.

I honestly think -- if TCU loses -- they won't drop at all. OSU will move to 4, TCU stays at 3. USC drops out because of their 2nd loss. TCU will still have a better record than OSU.I hope you are right, but with the cfpc, I wouldn't put it passed the to take bama over TCU
Of course.Money grab with conference championships
