I honestly think -- if TCU loses -- they won't drop at all. OSU will move to 4, TCU stays at 3. USC drops out because of their 2nd loss. TCU will still have a better record than OSU.

I think as long as the money they receive from the CFP is more than they'd get with their own playoff, they really don't have a choice. They have to be appeased. My question is how long are the P5s willing to pay the G5s to the level they are? I've had the same question for the true conference money generators in the P5. I’m not sure if the committee will try to avoid a rematch in the first round. I know ESPN would love Michigan vs Ohio State in a playoff game
